My first PAL payout: really that big?
I just received my first payout on palnet.io. I got an astonishing 85 PAL for a post that only made me 0.312 SBD and 0.756 SP. To put this in context: 85 PALcoin is worth about 32.3 Steem on the steem-engine market right now (given 1 PALcoin = 0.38 Steem).
I received the payout just a couple of hours after @minnowsupport announced that the PALcoin decimal precision was changed to 3. Somehow the payout seems to good to be true, so I expect something might have gone wrong with the update of the system. Although I expect this to be corrected later, I did take the opportunity to sell part of the PALcoin I received for Steem and staked the rest of it.
Did anyone experience similar kind of high payouts recently? And do you expect them to sustain or will this turn out to be a bug? Let me know in the comments below!

All my other posts are still on 0 PAL btw, so this will probably be a once in a lifetime experience.

It looks like you got upvoted by a PAL Whale (@partitura) who had 15k+ PAL power but a lot less SP. This makes payout on steemit small but the payout on PAL big.
You are also getting PAL from the @upvoteshares account on each daily post as it powered up the 539 Pal that was received with the airdrop.

Nice you staked the airdrop PAL at the @upvoteshares account too. That makes the upvote a lot more valuable! As it should also work the other way around, we can grow together nicely.

To be honest, it was a bit of a shock for me too. I'm not a whale in the same sense as on Steem. Normally my vote is good for a few PAL, certianly not dozens or hundreds.. I guess it had something to do with the hard fork and the change to decimal precision. Seems the system is still not returned to normal, as your post stands at 344 PAL while I write this. And I didn't even vote (yet)! Today is a strange day on PALNet, with some lucky consequences... :-)

That's good to hear. When I voted I saw only an increment from 0.31 to 0.34, so I thought that perhaps the voting weight per staked PAL had been changed as well.
It looks like there is a slight delay. My upvote of your comment first showed 0.00 and now 0.15.

Clearly developing (and updating) a new system goes with ups and downs. I'm sure it will be more stable over time. Until then you could either be lucky or unlucky. Let's hope the former occurs more often than the latter.

Indeed some strange behaviour on PAL. A few hours ago I had a post with a value of 113K PAL, fell down to 2.58 PAL now. :)
Was virtually rich for a small period of time!
Haha. As long as most of our Steem is still powered up we are all virtually rich (some more than others).
Or actually: all our wealth is virtual ;)

I read somewhere that in one day only 4300 PALs are created. If after 7 days your post still had been worth 113K PAL you would have bankrupted the system. :-)
