Scam Alert | Scammers Using Fake Mee6 Or Other User Names Spamming Dm’s In Discord
A fake discord bot is spamming people informing them they have won. OMG someone is not going be rich after this.
This is clearly an attempt to impersonate another bot as it has the wrong numbers and even naming. Even if this was coming from a “legit” discord bot Mee6 or user. I never signed up for any contests that would reward BTC as the prize. As such I’d consider it quite shady to start with.
I’ve blacked out the website and other details to prevent users from trying to go the URL in question.
Always remember to be safe and extra careful. Discord user names are made up of a first name that gets displayed followed by a set of numbers. This is not the first time someone has tried to impersonate another person in a discord or on another site before.
If someone really wanted to give me $2,359 worth crypto they can just send it as Steem to my account ;p
