We definitely experienced the thick and thin. If you were here while Steem was trading at $8/$11 SBD you survived the torrential waves.
At one point my account was sitting at 10K USD? Unbelievable.. but then it went to $600! What did I do? I continued to blog even harder because it was just that much easier to increase your STEEM holdings.
Perception can be reality, but your perception can be wrong. Many look at the price in USD, and others look at the price in how many Satoshis you can acquire.
Me? actually have just been focused on STEEM. It is good marketing when you look into your wallet and see USD pegged. All of our perceptions can be misconceptions. Remember the USD is being printed in an unprecedented manner. So value is truly relative.
If you are celebrating going from 0.12 cents to 0.29 cents, well good for you!
If you are riding the waves and didn't buckle under the pressure I think you should give yourself some credit. Calls for STEEM's death are very much premature.

I started buying splinterlands with my STEEM when it hit 0.20, maybe I should have kept it liquid. Nah, bullish on splinterlands too.
Still, many cried over 0.29 cent steem, if I was a "quitter" or a "stop blogging-er" while the price was low, I wonder how much the price would have to pump before I came back.
I do find myself commenting more. Not because I am reading more, but because I don't like commenting on doom and gloom posts too much.
Last I did the math, steem at $7.77, with the curation rewards I earn and the minimal, less than 0.50 upvotes I get would get me the income I need to stop hussling for money (aka - owning a side business), I haven't ran the numbers since I have accumulated more steem since then, but... $7.77... yeah, I'm dreaming.
