RE: Will STEEM survive its user base shifting to Scot tribes?

I tried arguing my point of view and seeing they insist in turning this into a communist-style platform, not a place where I want to be, I resigned myself to having to find a new way to continue making my books available.

Luckily there are a number of ways, so I relaxed a bit and gave some more thought to steemit.

Then I saw someone being flagged to death by BS and his numerous accounts. I tried to query what is happening and argued they were not being fair. So, no genius level intelligence required to work out what happened. They flagged 2 posts of mine, removing half a month of my income.

How much did it cost them to get nasty?

Zero.

Our Reward Pool pays for them to flag us, which means, in effect, if not in fact, we pay for them to flag us and add us to black lists and so on.

Then I realised the next flag came from someone (TMM) I voted for as witness. So, I checked who else I have voted for, left 2 of them, but the rest I unvoted.

Now, the hundred dollar question: What would happen if a large number of us unvote almost all the top 20 witnesses? (btw - I have seen a well known witness of the top 20 make comments in a post, telling the poster he has lots of votes still free so will he please vote for that witness.

It did sound sort of like a panicky strategy....so I wonder, are some of them already feeling the pinch?
