Sensible Promotion: https://www.PALnet.io promotes posts in a reasonable way!
Years ago @eonwarped, the dev behind Nitrous, realized that how the promoted tab worked was kinda dumb. If I want to promote a post I click promote, send SBD, and I get my post in a promoted tab. The promoted tab is basically all advertisements for stuff. That's cool and all, but most people don't go onto their tv to watch a channel for advertisements. it's kinda silly.
Post Promotion on Nitrous and www.palnet.io specifically
I promoted 3 different posts today. I did 3 Palcoin, 2 Palcoin, and 1 Palcoin on three different posts. The results are awesome.
You can see there are three posts that are interwoven into trending based on how much they were promoted for. If you promote a post people will actually see it. The palcoin spent is sent to @null.
This makes sense
So, now trending which some people do actually look at has actually promoted posts not just ones that have been bidbotted. Good times!
Some things to be desired in how it works, am working on only boxing it if it was actually placed in a promoted slot vs being already in a trending spot.. stay tuned.

Awesome to see you training the next generation blockchain developers and developers in training padawan using palnet... I think whaleshares and palnet are all just going to be linked up using EOS one day anyway with IBC and we will be able to cross post like with Masdacs.io

Excellent @aggroed. Try to improve the actual domain name though.
A single keyword i.e. PAL.extension would be better than PALnet.extension. If you wait until your website is established.. your very presence would increase the price of the domain names you could currently buy now.
Check Namepros.com, Namebio.com and Uniregistry.com. 👍
Will take a look at it. It looks like Steemit but if you fixed some of the Steemit problems like trending that could be great. :)
And it actually gives token holders value as they are taken out of circulation.
Is any fee to post on palnet.io ?

semi-off-topic, though not sure exactly where to ask this question and know you're involved with the project:
the login option using Keychain extension isn't working for me in either Chrome or Firefox - the "login" button just stays greyed out...
any idea how to fix this, if it's just temporary, etc? or where the best place to ask would be?

Huh I figured this post would include an instruction of how to promote a post on palnet. I remembered seeing this post when it came out, finally got off my ass and posted on palnet today and am trying to figure out how to actually promote it. Maybe even a link to an instruction would be good?
as far as I can tell, and @aggroed has mentioned it in another post which I can't seem to find, you just send PAL to @null with the post in the memo. And here you see examples of 1,2,3 pal being sent.
