OCD Curation: the best posts and authors of last week (4 - 10 August)

avatar

Uh oh! @ocd is taking a break in order to prepare for the future and HardFork 21, you know, the thing we all don't know about what it will exactly mean for the community :-)

So yes, there will be a break in curation, but that doesn't mean there's no content to read! Some people are still going strong and trying their best to share their stories with you. From Blockchain workshops to first-time travels abroad, enjoy your largely unknown Steemians that I've curated last week, or, go to @ocd for many many more posts!

See you when we're back.

Curated posts from 4-10th of August

Have you ever felt like you are sitting on a wealth of knowledge and that more people should it? @el-cr knows a lot about crypto and blockchain and decided with a little nudge from his wife it was time to share this and educate others. In this post he shows how he educated a few people about Bitcoin and Blockchain, what he found challenging, and what homework he gave them. The fact more people know learned about Bitcoin is a win for crypto!

Ever been to a street mural festival? This on in Edmonton, Canada takes place for four years now and photographer @ladybug146 made it her mission to document it - she shows off a very colourful piece with all its details that I'd certainly love to see with my own eyes if I'm ever in the neighbourhood. Check it out yourself!

Incredibly sharp macro shots of little creatures sitting on leafs: according to @fotosdenada mornings are best to take macro shots as the light is cooler and the insects don't move as fast. This and other focusing tips are going with his incredible shots - for those who want to try it out for themselves or just for those who want to enjoy the shots!

User @ntam shares educational material that is self-made on Steem. He is a teacher on a primary school under the Ministry of Basic Education in Cameroon. The past week he posted lessons and material on Modes of Transportation, Wild Animals, and this time all kinds of Birds and the stories that go with them. I quite like the idea of collecting educational material on Steem to share with other teachers who might be able to find inspiration from them. It also shows us what lessons are taught all over the world.

On her first out of the country trip together with her parents, @pjcorts went from the Philippines to Singapore! In this blog she shares with us what she did on Day 1 of her 3-day trip - amongst others going through immigrations for the first time, and noticing red carpets in the airport. Do you remember your first time going out of your home country?
