My mango tree did not go unnoticed this year.
Usually I had to enjoy one try but this year
she gave out two tries.
I had to share this moment with you cause many live
in place where you can buy mangos from the market.

In Florida, South Florida the weather is agreeable for mango tree
to sprout and give fruits right in Summer time.
Still I cannot find the name of that mango but it is sweet.

It was raining quite a few time and since then I see a black mark in all the mangoes.
I guess the mango fruit cannot take the rain water and it plays a bad role to force the
fruit to come out with many dark spot all over.
The other day I went outside and more than 10 were ripe.
I do not understand that phenomenon. Usually two or four but not that much at once.

Having so many in the last few days, I shared with friends. I prefer to enjoy myself
but cutting them for juice and save some later months in the freezer.
I had posted about that mango tree before.

I do have Mr. Entertainer came by often to eat and dropped the rest down.
Fun part when there is no ripe mango to eat they come down to finish
whatever left down. Lately I see birds, many birds coming over to eat mangos.
This is new to me. I guess I love the taste so that is why they are here.
Birds love to sing and it is joyful to hear them.

I made myself some good juice. My recipe is simple.

  • one mango
  • goat milk or evaporated milk
  • ice
  • honey ( if needed)
  • water (a little if needed)

I like the juice consistency make sure you add enough milk and water
If you put more ice
you can get a smoothie or a shake drink.
Mangoes are sweet by nature so I enjoy this tropical juice with no extra sugar cane.
Rarely I see mango by July but this year I will have some.
More work in the backyard since I only get maybe 50% of all mangoes.
The rests are for Mr. Entertainer and the birds.
This year I will clean the branches since the tree is getting too big.
It is taking over the house side and you know Florida with hurricane.
Here is another picture of the tree altogether.

Further tropical you go
the diversity is immense.
I have seen many kinds.
South Florida weather is hot or sometimes cold.
Cold like 50 Fahrenheit for couple days.
Right now it is 80-90 day round.
Can you share couple mangoes that you know?
