Hiya all! Here's the cycle of life!

"Hang on now, as today I want to share an amazing story with you guys"!
"My name is Squirry, happy to meet you and I own this place"!

IMG_1353 (2).JPG

"Let me just get a bit more comfortable in this heat, then I will start with the story"!

I think that you have heard the saying; "what goes around comes around"?
"Well it is so true, and even if you call it karma, nature doesn't work according to our rules, but only to its own".
"When you do bad things to another squirrel, oh I mean to someone else, it will come back to you 7 times 70".
"I do many bad things to other squirrels that steal my nuts, but I don't have to worry because we don't have karma".
"Let me show you below how we work in nature"!

IMG_5839.JPG

"Remember that Zac showed you a wasp that killed and ate a bee"?

IMG_9701.JPG

"When Zac saw this a second time he almost cried, as Zac loves the bees"!

IMG_1523 (2).JPG

"Well, look how happy Zac is today, as here is a dragonfly eating a potter wasp"?

IMG_1524 (2).JPG

"A closer look here and oh yeah, that wasp is a sure gonner"!

"Okay, that's my story, as in nature everybody eats everybody else. The lesson here is what you do to others will be done to you and much worse, so treat all others as you want to be treated".
"My eyes want to close now, so I will hand over to Zac to show you some more photos about our nature.

IMG_1418.JPG

These magnificent flyers...who for such a short time live in this form...appreciate the time they have been given to speed through the sky, take care of "the bad bugs", and soar across the water wherein they once lived. For years they live as "nymphs" under the surface of the water and after the period of their "transformation" they are only given months to live as "dragonflies" above the waters.

IMG_1433.JPG

Ever seen a dragonfly with an open mouth? He is happy because there are many insects here.
Dragonflies also love to eat mosquitoes.

IMG_1470 (2).JPG

Here I tried my best to get the sky in the drop on the waterlily leaf.

IMG_1366 (2).JPG

This is the "before" in the late afternoon, and it is a great view!

IMG_1368 (2).JPG

This is during the sunset period, and the sun colors the mountains a lovely red!

IMG_1372 (2).JPG

Finally, here we have the one red peak of the high mountain.

And That's All Folks!

I thanked Squirry for telling us the first part of the story by giving her a large peanut. She likes to get the peanuts in the shell to show off how she can expertly take the nuts out of their shells. Squirrels can also open the toughest shells as I have watched them open macadamia nuts that we can only open with a hammer.
Mind you, baboons can also open macadamias by hammering them with rocks, but squirrels use only their teeth.
It is fascinating how mother nature feeds her residents and of course no one is "safe", as they all fall within nature's food chain.

We hope that you have enjoyed the story and the pictures and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity

Thank you Lady Lizelle I like to use mother nature as a teacher.
I read somewhere that people were complaining that sunlight is not good for photography and decided to show in my posts that sunlight can be used as an aid to bring out the beauty in what can otherwise not be seen.
It really makes a big difference!
Blessings!

I did not know dragonflies ate wasps and other insects like that and what cool shots i love the shot of the water on the lily pad especially :)

Thank you JJ, oh yea man, dragonflies are the fastest predators on earth. We are not far away from the river and there are many of the smaller insects here in our garden. Unfortunately this guy sat inside a tree and I just could not get closer to him. I think the lily shot was not a bad shot for being taken on the zoom.
Glad that you liked it my friend.
Blessings!

I love that sunset red! It's one of my favorite things. Makes my eyes feel like they are eating the best chocolate. Squirry stories are always fun. How do you know which squirrel is Squirry?

Thank you as I also love it and I think that I should do some posts about the sunset's effect on the mountains.
Only the cheeky little one that jumps on us is Squirry.
In these photos she had just eaten a bunch of nuts that Marian gave her for supper and was lazing in the tree waiting for nightfall.
But I must tell you, if it were not for her actions we would not be able to recognize her between the other squirrels as they all look alike.
Blessings!

Well thank-you Squirry for telling us the story and although it seems cruel in nature that is how it works with the food chain.
It is a good lesson to learn though that what goes around comes around and to treat others as you want them to treat you!
Lovely photos of squirry and the insects and the red coloring on the mountains is stunning! How fortunate that you get to enjoy that view right from your yard!
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you my friend. Glad that you also agree with the story.
We were expecting rain clouds last night and the clouds duly started to arrive, so we took a drive to a spot at the mountains to get the sunset's effect on them.
I just had a look at the pictures now and some of them are beautiful. Will post later today.
Blessings!

Squirry makes me jealous, having a perfect set of teeth to gnash through nuts, if only humans had ability to have good teeth, or replace them like sharks!

Wasp looks defeated in attempt at a meal, dragonfly got it right!

Thank you Lady Joan, first for me to catch a dragonfly with a wasp. Just shows how fast they are.
Humans don't realize just how frail we really are.

We definitely may have a "thinking brain", that is about all... (Not that most use it!) Decidedly not most efficient animal on the planet.

Agreed with you Lady Joan and it is the "non thinkers" that are causing all of the trouble to the planet, as they cannot think of the future.
But place a get rich quick scheme before them and they grab it like starved dogs without thinking about the consequences!

The older you get the eyes may become tired, the mind runs in overdrive, just sitting quietly watching people eating away at themselves, taking everything, leaving nothing but a trail of sorrow.

Oh yeah leaving one in such a sorrowful state of mind. Visual sight that disturbs rather than to stimulate.
Human greed knows no boundaries and nothing is viewed as sacred when it comes to self gain.
A sad story my friend!

Thank you my friend and so true, as it's the human interference that we are worried about.
So glad that that a ban was placed on all wildlife sales, maybe now the Pangolins will get a break.

Thank you my friend and little Squirry was up to her tricks again this morning. A real little bossy character and always full of fun.
Unless she has a batch of nuts on the floor and one comes close, as then she spins at high speed around your feet to scare you away.
Blessings!
