Goose in a Bird Bath!

Egyptian goose bathing and other photos today!

We live in a veritable natural paradise and I see many out of the ordinary action by members of the animal kingdom.
The main thing is that animals adapt easily to their often changed situations and mankind's inventions are at most times meaningless to them. She saw water and water means that she can have a bath after a hard day sitting on her nest!
Let's have a look!

Gathering water in her mouth to splash on her back!

Of course her husband is keeping a watch on the roof!

Just to clear the water from her ears and then done!

Here we have a couple of starlings on a lamp post!

Just thought that I would show you this Cape Skimmer!

A young squirrel coming down from the nest in the high Palm tree.

A shot of the Helderberg mountain with some clouds!

Like I said, man's inventions are meaningless to animals and how many tears have been cried when birds poop on statues, building, recently washed cars and even peoples heads hahaha.
We can certainly learn from their adaptation techniques that are so simple in different situations, but of course humans fear change.
At one time long ago, this entire area was a farm with many wetlands and now it has transformed in many built up areas.
But that doesn't faze the animals, they simply carry on with life.

Thank you JJ, at least they keep us busy.
I have not yet found her nest, as she decided to dump the owl box, but will keep on looking.
Blessings!

Thank you Sir @janton and I am one of those that are totally against any developments in the wetland areas. Wild animals and humans cannot live together and it's so unfair to force the animals to adapt to human nature.
Blessings!

Hahaha, we make it work my friend. If a bunch of animals and human are thrown together in life and they can make it work, one wonders why the world and it's nations cannot do the same.
Blessings!

That's a good point and a depressing thought because they've never been able to do that very well, to put it mildly. lol.

Very mildly my friend. Greed cannot be blamed, as animals are also greedy for food and so it must be something in the human psyche that drives us to do the horrible things that we do.
We have armor factories that employ many people and therefore arms must be sold to avoid stockpiling, so there has to be wars to prevent the arms industry from collapsing. Look how they are wrecking the Middle East at the moment.
Blessings!

Ban all arms at the loss of many jobs, or continue to kill many?
I am waiting for the day that the swords will be turned into plow shares my friend.
At the moment we have it the Joel way around instead of the Micah way.
Blessings!

Very true. When money rules above all it's a downward spiral.
