Cat versus Goose! Who Wins?

A Jackal Buzzard flying with the moon in the background!

Now the first photo has nothing to do with the cat and goose encounter, but it was certainly too nice not to share.

The female Egyptian goose spends her whole day sitting on her nest and in the late afternoon she flies in to come and eat and to wash herself.
Of course the male Egyptian goose must ensure that the area is safe.
Have a look at the cat and goose challenge!

lieyf6.jpg

You don't want to be in front of an Egyptian male goose in a fighting mood!

Mr. Cat was trying to hide behind the big flower pot, thinking that he could get a bite of wet goose for supper!

ehsn1c.jpg

But not to be, as Mr. Cat jumped up onto the wall and into a tree!

eztgd6.jpg

This is the tree at the left that Mr. Cat jumped into. You can see the big flowerpot at the bottom of the tree next to the wall.

Mr. Cat was clever as he went high up into the tree in the hope that the goose will not get to him. Inside the yellow circled area!

Here Mr. Cat can be seen sitting in the tree!

xqp135.jpg

So Mrs. Goose had a safe area to eat and to bath while her husband kept watch for intruders!

yi0u11.jpg

Sun bathed mountains told me that the end of our day was approaching!

And That's All Folks!

I have in a previous post shown you how mister goose chased a cheeky squirrel away from his wife's bathroom. Today it was a cat and who knows what it would be in the future.

Mother nature's lesson here is that instead of men abusing women, all men should rather love and protect their women. At the Papillon charity offices we have referred many abused women that were assaulted by their husbands to free legal aid lawyers. It is a sickening and totally illegal act to abuse a woman!

I apologize to end on this note, but it's a matter close to my heart!

We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity

Hahaha, they are only about 5 meters away from our house's front door my friend. It is such a pleasure to watch how they live.
Blessings and thank you!

Love your moon photo! That is quite the drama between the goose and the cat! I will bet once that Goose is a daddy he will be even more vicious towards intruders!

The sad thing about them is that they never raise all of the babies in the wild Lady Melinda. In captivity they do, as the owners feed them.
But in the wild they only raise the strongest one or two.
And oh yes, the Egyptian geese are renowned as fearless fighters, they will even take on dogs, eagles and even humans.

These two have the habit to come and announce their arrival here at my study window and then we rush to the front to put their bread and water out.
Maybe you are going to love the double post that I am going to do later on today. Birds and the colors of nature.
Hope that you will have a good Friday!
Blessings!

They sound quite ferocious! Maybe with the steady food supply that you supply your pair will choose to raise more than one!

I'll be over to see what you have for today!

Thank you my friend and they are indeed renowned fighters.
We have learned our lesson with the Guinea fowl babies and now allow nature to take it's course.
Of course it will be great if more babies could be raised.
Will have to wait and see!
Blessings and thank you!

Stunning photo of the buzzard by the moon - what a fantasic capture!
Cute story and photos of the cat and goose!
I hear you about spousal abuse - glad Papillion charity can help them out in some way even if by referring to legal aid

Thank you my friend.
We have heard some torrid stories from abused women and in one case a husband even threatened to kill a woman's baby if she did not obey his demands. He regularly assaulted her and so we found a place for her in a woman's shelter and we put the lawyers onto the man's case.
Another time I had to physically restrain a man during a partner counseling session in my office. It is just that men here understand violence as the only option to settle views that differ from their own.
And of course a woman is an easy target.

Bullies and abusive partners are all insecure cowards.

Good post.

That cat has a perfect tail. I hope it keeps the goose safe from Mr. Buzzard if Mr. Buzzard will attack it.

Hahaha, Mr. Goose is quite capable of handling any buzzard my friend and the cat will run for the hills if he sees a buzzard. It's the eagles and of course the gymnogene (Harrier Hawk) that are the real dangers here.
Blessings!

Abuse to woman and children has become ridiculous, escalated to astronomical highs over the last ten years, time for change was ten years ago.

Mr Goose really could share their knowledge Stephen, does anyone look or listen?

It is so sickening Lady Joan and getting worse by the day. I would love to have the money to buy a small farm and to turn it into a home for abused women and children. A place where they can work and learn in peace.
As far as the lesson by Mr. Goose is concerned, I doubt if many would look and listen, but one never knows, it just might strike a nerve somewhere.
Blessings!

Our quiet part of town has become so noisy, buildings going up, animals in disarray it saddens one in so many different ways Stephen.

We can only carry on in the vein hope we are doing something right, yes I would love a quiet little farm that is what dreams are made of.

Traffic congestion, blocked drains, faulty robots and so much more awaits Lady Joan. Once the developers arrive the real nightmares start.
Fortunately over here no building can go higher than two floors.
Been like that for years and I hear that they intend for it to stay that way. The problem with having a farm is that the attacks are increasing daily.
Seems that we are in a dead end!
Blessings!

Oh I don't know about that at all sir papilloncharity and the forces of steemit agree in respect to rewards but I appreciate the compliment!

I think that most steemians are going through a hard time because of the low steem price Sir @janton
all that we can do is hope and wait.
One thing is for sure, it can't continue meddling along like this, as many people will leave, and sooner or later we will see either a dramatic increase, or a shut down.
Just my own thoughts here.
Blessings!

I agree, lots of people have left and some analysts think the price will go down to zero before it starts climbing again so it that happens many more will leave.

It all depends on the numbers, but even if it hits a zero some of us will stay my friend. What goes up, must come down and visa versa. Spinning wheel stuff. (Good song though)

I think it would be time to buy if it went down close to zero! I sure would try.

Let's wait and see what happens my friend.

Exactly. Even if it went down to a few cents I would still have to convince Mrs. J. that it was a good investment and I'm not sure I'd be successful!

Hahaha, I think that she knows you well my friend.
Maybe you should think about a totally unorthodox approach when you ask her.
Something like "Babe, why don't we think about another child"?
Of course she would be flabbergasted and then you could calm her down nicely by saying that you think it would be so much better and easier just to invest some more in steem hahaha

lol! Brilliant psychology sir papilloncharity! I think that would work!

Hey Sir @janton, I was only joking with that example, so please don't try it.
