Something dropped from a tree at my feet!

Out in the complex where we stay, I was out with my camera as usual. A pod, or nut from a tree dropped down at my feet and as I looked up, I saw a lovely sight. Jacaranda trees grow all over South Africa and they are absolutely beautiful trees.
Let me show you who dropped the nut!

Bam! A very young squirrel looked down at me!

There was another one eating away at a nut!

I found this photo on Google to show you Jacaranda trees lining a road in the city of Pretoria in South Africa.

Of course the squirrels would love my peanuts more and I dropped a handful for them.
The one at the front seemed to be a bit older than the small one at the back.

And of course mommy was hanging around keeping an eye on her kids!

Some more information on the famous Jacaranda!

"The blue jacaranda has been cultivated in almost every part of the world where there is no risk of frost; established trees with the protection of hard wood can however tolerate brief spells of temperatures down to around −7 °C (19 °F).[3] In the US, 48 km (30 mi) east of Los Angeles where winter temperatures can dip to −12 °C (10 °F) for short several-hour periods, the mature tree survives with little or no visible damage. Even when young trees are damaged by a hard frost and suffer die back, they will often rebound from the roots and grow in a shrub-like, multi-stemmed form.[3]
In the United States, the Jacaranda is grown very extensively in California, in southwestern Arizona, southeast Texas and Florida.[4] In California they are grown most extensively in Southern California, but are commonly planted as far north as the San Francisco Bay Area and along the frost-free coastal regions of Northern California.[4][5] In California flowering and growth will be stunted if grown directly on the coast, where a lack of heat combined with cool ocean winds discourages flowering.[3]
In Europe it is grown on the entire Mediterranean coast of Spain (it is very noticeable in the Valencian community, the Balearic Islands and Andalusia with especially large specimens present in Valencia, Alicante and Seville, and usually with earlier flowering than in the rest of Europe), in the southern part of Portugal (very noticeable in Lisbon), southern Italy (in Naples and Cagliari it's quite easy to come across beautiful specimens), southern Greece (noticeable in Athens) and on the Islands of Malta and Cyprus.[citation needed] It was introduced to Cape Town by Baron von Ludwig in about 1829. It is regarded as an invasive species in parts of South Africa and Australia, the latter of which has had problems with the Blue Jacaranda preventing growth of native species. In other parts of Africa jacarandas are especially present in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, and Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe."

And so Baron von Ludwig introduced Jacaranda trees into South Africa in the year 1829 and to this day the squirrels thank him for it Lol

The nut tree looks amazing. I have no idea nut trees can look like that. We only grow peanuts here, no tree nuts. And the squirrels, always in your frame.

We seem to like the same things my friend.
The Jacaranda trees were imported in the 18 hundreds and they are now growing all over our country. Of course there are also many other nut trees and that's why there are so many squirrels.
We now have 3 new baby squirrels running around here in out garden!
Thank you for your kind support!
Blessings!

Naseptin does the trick for me @jaynie, a drop in each nostril and no more pollen worries!
Also very good before taking a flight, as the dirty air filters also made me very sick.
Please try a bit when the hayfever knocks on the nose (door).
Thank you for the kind visit!
Blessings!

I think that you can only get it with a Doctor's prescription.
There is a very good over the counter version called Bactroban Nasal, but they don't stock it here.
Also very good and maybe see if you can get it at your side.
Blessings!

Those beautiful Jacaranda trees were declared as invasive trees over here Sir @janton. In a water scarce country that is not a good thing, but they are all over the place and I don't know what the next step of action is going to be.
Oh yes, I always have nuts, among other things in my pockets. Marian also berated me once when she found a dead lizard in one of my pockets, as she checks them before putting it into the washing machine hahaha.
I have always had all kinds of things in my pockets Lol
Blessings!

I would also carry nuts all the time if I were you. I don't know if I'd carry dead lizards though. lol.
