The first writings that show the presence of minerals in the Venezuelan territory, exist since the sixteenth century, from the presence of the Spanish conquerors, sent to the "New World" in order to bring religion and with the entire process of colonization , evangelization of the natives, exploration of the territory and identification of our wealth, it seems a story of Columbus and his friends, but nowadays the situation has not changed much, the ideal of the so-called progress on any organic proposal; mining has been imposed and with it comes the natural and cultural looting of nations.

Los primeros escritos que muestran la presencia de minerales en el territorio venezolano, existen desde el siglo XVI, a partir de la presencia de los conquistadores españoles, enviados al ¨Nuevo Mundo¨ con el fin de traer la religión y con ello todo el proceso de colonización, evangelizacion de los indigenas, exploración del territorio e identificarción de nuestras riquezas, parece una historia de Colón y sus amigos, pero ciertamente en la actualidad la situación no ha cambiado mucho, el ideal del llamado progreso sobrepasa cualquier propuesta organica; la mineria se ha impuesto y con ella viene envuelta el saqueo natural y cultural de las naciones.

Venezuela, catalogada como el país con la primera reserva de petróleo del planeta, ademas de tener niquel, diamante, coltan, plata, mercurio, litio, magnesio, aluminio, platino y pare usted de contar cuantos minerales más de nuestro desconocimientos estaran por alli; sumado a ello y sin ser menos importante contamos con la mayor reserva de oro, con una certificación legal internacional de 2 mil 236 toneladas, datos publicados en los medios y con futuras modificaciones en ascenso.
