WILD HORSE/CAVALLO SELVAGGIO [ENG/ITA]

Horses are beautiful, majestic creatures. Them flowing manes and the various colors of skin are make these animals special. A horse can to be a faithfull friend not only free time, but in the life of evryday. Today’s life does not allow as to have such a close relationship with such an animal, it is very difficult, you must have a lot of time, and live in the country. It have a lot needs, it wants to live in the pack, to eat quality food, it must not be bored, it must live in the open air, it must running.
So, before buying a horse we need to know if then we could satisfy all these needs.
I made this painting on the wall of a country house. The owners have some horses and they asked me to make a painting in theyr son’s room. It is acrylic on plaster. I fell in love with these animals, they are fantastic, it’s no wonder that so many poems refer to them. Here a poem taken from the English leterature of the second Romanticism by Lord Byron, inspired by the wild horses race:

With flowing tail and flying mane,
Wide nostrils, never stretched by pain,
Mouth bloodless to bit or rein,
And feet that iron never shod,
And flanks unscar’d by spur or rod
A thousand horses – the wild – the free –
Like waves that follow o’er the sea,
Came thickly thundering on.

I cavalli sono creature meravigliose e maestose. Le loro criniere fluenti e i vari colori della pelle rendono questi animali speciali. Un cavallo può essere un amico fedele non solo nel tempo libero, ma nella vita di tutti i giorni. La vita di oggi non ci permette di avere un rapporto così stretto con un animale così, è impegnativo, bisogna avere molto tempo a disposizione, ed abitare in campagna. Ha molte esigenze, ha bisogno di avere la compagnia dei suoi simili, fare un’alimentazione di qualità, non deve annoiarsi, deve vivere all’aria aperta, deve correre.
Quindi prima di acquistare un cavallo dobbiamo sapere se poi avremo il modo di soddisfare tutte queste esigenze. Ho realizzato questo dipinto sul muro di una casa di campagna. I proprietari hanno dei cavalli e mi hanno chiesto di fare un dipinto nella stanza di un loro figlio. E’ un acrilico su intonaco. Mi sono innamorata di questi animali, sono fantastici, non c'è da meravigliarsi se così tante poesie fanno riferimento a loro. Ecco una poesia presa dalla letteratura inglese del secondo Romanticismo di Lord Byron, ispirato dalla corsa di cavalli selvaggi:

Con coda ondeggiante e criniera al vento,
Le froge selvagge mai contratte dal dolore,
E bocche non insanguinate da morso o redine,
E piedi che il ferro mai calzò,
E i fianchi intatti da sprone o frusta,
Un migliaio di cavalli, selvaggi, liberi,
