Hello everyone my dear friends, even today a hot topic, wich unfortunately it concerns us closely. Who, during his life did not find himself in contact with asbestos? I think very few, because it is a material that can you to find everywhere, from buildings to cars, in the paint and in the work uniforms, in many objects of daily use.

Ciao a tutti miei cari anici, anche oggi un tema scottante, che purtroppo ci riguarda da vicino. Chi, nel corso della sua vita non si è trovato a contatto con l’amianto? Penso pochissimi, perché è un materiale che si può trovare ovunque, dagli edifici alle auto, nelle vernici nelle divise da lavoro, in tantissimi oggetti di uso quotidiano.

I made this work a few years ago for an exhition organized of INAIL ( National Institute of Insurance against Accidents at Work), it is a textile work realized with layers of colored tulle,
which in theyr overlap is obtained a grey/smoking color that is intended to simulate the color of air pollution. Inside it present a network of X-ray films, to form of chest to remember the part affected by the disease, the lung.

Ho realizzato questa opera alcuni anni fa per una mostra organizzata dall’INAIL ( Istituto Nazionale Assicurazioni contro Infortuni sul Lavoro), è un’opera tessile realizzata da strati di tulle colorati, che nella loro sovrapposizione si ottiene un grigio/fumo che vuole simulare il colore dell’inquinamento atmosferico. Al suo interno presenta una rete di pellicole raggi x , a forma di torace per ricordare la parte colpita dalla malattia, il polmone.

Also the asbestos is a textile fiber but lethal. In a few years, it has caused thousands of deaths and still today, it continues to do its victims, in fact scientific and epidemiological studies claim that in the next fifteen years we will see a sharp increase in killer fiber related diseased, such as asbestosis, pleural cancer (pleural mesothelioma) and lung cancer.

Anche l’amianto è una fibra tessile ma letale. In pochi anni, ha provocato migliaia di
morti e ancora oggi, esso continua a mietere le sue vittime, infatti studi scientifici ed epidemiologici sostengono che nei prossimi 15 anni assisteremo a un forte incremento delle malattie correlate alla fibra killer, quali l’asbestosi, il tumore della pleura (mesotelioma pleurico) e il carcinoma polmonare.
