Hi everyone!

This is my last work for the inktober. As it was the 31 oktober, I thought directly of pumpkins for the word ripe !

So, the inktober event is over.

What did I think about it?

First, it was the first year I was involved. As i said precedently, i had participate with school ; i do studies in illustration and animation, so our teacher ask us to participate to the inktober, as it is an important annual event on the web for many illustrators around the world.
I was very enjoyed by it, as i always loved the ink technique, but have never really practiced it, it was the perfect occasion.

So, my goals at the beginning was to practice the ink technique, and the drawing by imagination. I tried to find concepts according to the words, and according to my teacher's instruction to create a character and represent him on all the inktober drawings. This is why i create my owl character :D

I had some difficulties. First, I didn't always know how to make shadows, not being used to the ink technique. I always hesitated between hatching, lines, full shading,... which often gave a result that seemed rather vague, not clear enough. Not being able to erase was also a difficulty. I had to think in advance about which part to color in black and couldn't go back. :p

Second, i wanted to practice my spatialization and my space management. This is something which I sometimes have a little trouble with, especially when I don't have pictures as a model to help me find my way around.
Nevertheless, I often stayed in my comfort zone and represented a scene perfectly from the front. There were only a few days when I really tried to play with space and perspective.

For this reason, my favorites inktober are these two :

I think they are the most accomplished, they are the ones I am most happy with.

And you ? What do you think about the inktober event ? Have you participate in ? What did you like, and where did you have difficulties? Feel free to share your experience or opinion in the comments. :)

I think that a common difficulty should be surely to be regular in its participation, since it is a daily event. For my part, it wasn't a problem since it was mandatory by the school (and I only had to do a creation on even days) but if I had participated on my own, I would have found it very difficult to be regular ahaha.

So, feel free to give me your opinion, and next to that, have a good day. :)

See you soon!!
