Many people do ask me about the materials i use for my drawings,so in this post I'll be showing the materials i use. I'll be talking about their prices and what they are used for.

MATERIALS

Charcoal pencil

• I love to use Generals charcoal pencils, because after trying other types of charcoal pencils available here i found out Generals gives the best darkness. I love using the soft type too because i can easily use it to make my charcoal dust for shading. Inside a small container i store the dust i make. Below is a picture of how my charcoal dust looks like. The price is 550 naira each.

Monozero eraser

• This is the material i love the most. i use it mainly to get tiny tiny white lines especially when im drawing hair strands. It is also use to clean tiny little spots that a bigger eraser will over clean. Infact you can use it for many things depending on how you can maximize its usage. The price is 3500 naira and its refill cost 1500 naira.

Electric eraser

• I love this invention. Its called Electric eraser because it uses battery. This can be use to get distinct white tiny spot. For example if you want to make a glow and you need distinct little spot, here is the perfect material to use. The price is also 3500 naira and its refill cost 500 naira.

White charcoal pencil

• It is called White charcoal pencil because it can write on dark charcoal pencil. I normally use it for grey hairs, it is perfect for it. I use the Generals brand also. The price is 500 naira.

Pelican paper

The is the material I draw on. The pelican paper has a protective covering (coating) at the back that protects the drawing. I like its surface because no matter how much you clean on it, it doesn't peel unlike alabaster paper. Also it is cheap. It cost 110 naira.

Brush

• I couldn't get a drawing suitable brush easy to pick dust and shade so I went for a makeup brush and believe me, it has been serving me well. It is use for shading ofcus and the price of a small makeup brush pack is 500 naira.

Cotton buds

Its the normal cotton buds we use for cleaning our ears but in this case, its an important drawing material for me. I use it for shading, i swap it with brush most of the times when im drawing. It cost 50 naira per pack.

5B and 7B

• I sent my mum to help me buy them because she was going around tbe area the materials are being sold. I told her 5B and 7B but she came home with these. They feel like 5H and 7H though when i use them to draw but im not sure if they are. I love them because i dont need to be sharpening them from time. The price is 250 naira each.

Ruler

• I use it to measure on my pelican paper whenever i want to cut a particular size for my art. It cost 1000 naira.

Drawing board

• It is a small wood i found in the house, so i picked it, clean it up and started using it for my drawings. On it i tape my pelican paper and draw. It is light and easy to carry. It cost me nothing though. 😊😊😊

Other materials

• I use the scissors to cut the pelican paper, i use the normal eraser to clean larger surfaces, blade to sharpen the pencils and ruler to create grid lines and rule small straight lines. The eraser cost 50 naira, ruler is 100 naira and blade is 20 naira.
