Boiling Storm Clouds Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Sometimes the clouds seem to boil up from nowhere during rainy season in Kuala Lumpur. At 2 pm on this afternoon, we were getting ready for quite a storm. You can see how clear everything is in the distance since these clouds have not yet started to drain. Out of all this crazy sky, we have no rain yet.

You can see the glow of the sun to the left of the frame as the clouds have not quite taken over. But soon all will be dark and the thunder and lightning will be on center stage.

Autumn is rainy season in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and we are in it now. The daily torrential rain is longer and harder than at other times of the year. People like it though, since it cleans everything and makes our gardens grow.

Since I come from the north, I am not used to this, even though I have lived in the tropics before. I expect it to be cold in a storm like this, but instead it is often warmer. And it is interesting how quickly the storms come and go. Where I came from a rainy day would last all day. Here, when the storm is gone, it is hard to believe it was just here and everyone goes out into the sun again.
