¡Happy start of the week my dear friends!

The month of November is coming to an end and the days of Christmas joy are approaching. In Venezuela it's all about enjoyment, dancing, food, gifts, lights, trees and much more. Here in Venezuela we have traditions that are rooted since the times of our ancestors. To make hallacas, to cook black cake, to play secret friend, are some of the traditions that do not go out of fashion.

But it's not all about food, it's also important to fix and decorate our houses, the first thing we do is paint or retouch the paint, we clean and decorate every corner. In my houses we are already preparing to paint this Saturday and then I want to make the manger and the Christmas tree. Not all the fun stays at home, together with the neighbors we agree that the outside of the building shines with lights and garlands.

We can make beautiful things with precise fabrics and of all of them the only one I changed was the fabric from seeds to white poplin.

We take out all the patterns, cut them and assemble them. I loved this bathroom set since I saw a designer who makes beauties, she lives in Valencia and from her house sells all the patterns you want to have of their designs.

In the mold of the cover we make some lines in the fabric with the help of the iron, we cut the wadding and we join it to the fabric, we pass straight seam, this will do as an effect of rays of light.

Before continuing to elaborate the lid of the poceta we stick with hidden stitch the candle, also we make in the machine to sew the leaves of the flower and we stick with needle and thread.

We place the green leaves, this pattern is taken out of the exact shape of the contour of the lid. It is taken out in main fabric and lining, sewn and turned over.

We make the steering wheel that measures 2.20 cm x 15 cm wide, we make the arruche system or if you don't know how to do it you can make plises. Then we place the fabric where the elastic band is going to be glued. To know a little more about how to finish the elaboration of the cover I invite you to see

On the tank lid, we also performed the same steps we did on the lid of the poceta.

I think everyone can put his own style, but you like the flower you can make a snowman or a san Nigolas, reindeer, whatever you think. I really liked this job very much, I think it's going to look beautiful at my mother's house.

You can create the paper holder and the towel if you like.

I hope you like it and I invite you to make things with your own hands, that gives a special touch to our decoration. Also you can do it to sell or to give to your special beings, as for example your mother-in-law.

Let's continue to encourage us to spend some nice holidays, listen to maracuchas bagpipes, Christmas carols and let the spirit of Christmas come into your lives, I tell you later, see you in the next post.

These remind me of the cross stitch my grandma used to do. She had a very similar pattern to what you ended up making.

Thanks for helping me relive some old memories and keep up the excellent craft work.

How nice it is to remember and if they are beautiful memories because it is much better, a kiss to your grandmother wherever she is.

Hi @carolinacardoza. I don't know much about crafts and needlework. But I admire the beautiful items produced from them. Seems like this takes a lot of patience and skill.
