My deepest apologies for letting this round of nonsense wash away with the tide.

Thinking takes time; writing takes time; and ensuring my various tokens remain viable and stable takes the most amount of time.

So, let me bring closure to this Fourth Nonsense Writing Contest.

Have been through all three posts and these are the ones I can see.

So, firstly, to reward both creativity and a certain patience, I shall send 2 MAXUV to every entrant above.

And I have two winners: @owasco's gobbledeegoogle and @wakeupkitty's head-banging skit. They shall receive an extra 4 MAXUV tokens on top.

Decisions, decisions...

Given that the current situation is under tension and liable to snap, should I carry on with these Nonsense Contests or give them a break?

This is obviously not an inability for people to write, it is mainly about my time needed to dedicate to managing these contests properly.

One thing that may save time is to set up a Nonsense Community. On the face of it, this seems like more work rather than less, but with the ability to have more of a rolling contest, and more immediate prizes, this can run without so much focus on prizes and more on improving content.

On the other hand, I could just start the Fifth Contest this Friday. I suspect we will experience a tremor before then, so let me make this the default choice.

Any ideas?

Yes, that's my feeling - more mockery and less navel-gazing... tho that too could be amusing in itself.
I mean, just look at McAfee's tweets - no, really, scroll down to the latest opium binge. Actually, it's hard to find amid all the other craziness.

I'm all in if you said a contest, as long as it didn't involve video making of myself 😅 I rarely do that. Once in a while like the singing video I shared before.

It's alright to take a rest @rycharde. I did that before. Now I'm back again because of the joy I've found in engaging. If you do pause for a while, just make sure you came back. We are losing something good here of you don't.

I hope the good stays during "bad" times too and those who stay will be motivated and outsiders read/find something positive too. Even if it is nonsense or especially if it's nonsense. Soon the whole world lost creativity and forgets to laugh and we only scream, scold or cry.

I have no idea how to make videos and uploading is impossible for me. I once did one very short one via @appics about the wolves I believe. I think @olivia07 uses appics too.

It's better to be careful about what of your private life you show on the internet. It's a reason why photographing people makes me feel uncomfortable.

That is why I'm veru careful about video or photography that I make. I'm concern about privacy and also safety especially the one that can give out where I live.

I have followed you and will notice the new contest if you need a pause.
Do what fits you best.
A community may be an idea, and a longer period, maybe a fortnight ( 14 days) would fit me also.

Thank you so much! I love this darn little contest, it has helped me develop some skills.

I ran one single contest and it was so much work I can say I know exactly what you mean. You made four posts just for this one edition! Then reading them all, commenting on all of them. I actually looked a couple times for the other entries and could not find them except for the two you included in the second post, I have no idea why. Sorting through all the comments that are just trdo or commentcoin or whatever takes us time too.

I suppose a community would help us find each other, but I'm not digging the communities much. Having to choose among which one gets my first place is stressful. I'd rather you waited until some dust settles around them, perhaps until we get to post in at least two instead of having to choose just one. Or choose a community that already exists. I've been using freewriters for my nonsense entries. Maybe if you insist that one of the first five tags be "nonsense5" for the fifth edition (for example) might help us? idk.

I also would not mind at all if you only ran it once a month.
