Injustice in the System: Orji Uzo Kalu stole from the past, present and future but only gets 12 years

Here we are again talking about Nigerian politics but this time, it's actually a good thing. I'm pleased to tell you that a former governor of Abia State of Nigeria named Orji Uzo Kalu has been found guilty and sentenced to 12 years in prison for numerous charges including FRAUD.

Amongst the 39 charges lined up against him, he was convicted of N7.65billion fraud perpetuated when he was Abia State governor between 1999 and 2007. To give you an idea about how much he stole from Nigerians, I compiled the following information(all calculations are done at the current rate);

The barest minimum or basic cost of living for a Nigerian is #666.67 Naira a day--source

It would take the average Nigerian approximately 31,438.2 years to spend 7.65billion Naira stolen by Orji Uzo Kalu- simple Arithmetic

The average life expectancy in Nigeria is 53.4 years. This means he deprived 5,821 humans-derived by dividing the time taken to spend 7.65billion by an average Nigerian.

Nice Picture of the man and family. He's the one looking sharp in a suit

The question I must ask is, if our wise Senators believe it is correct to place death penalty for hate speech and that hefty fine for "socialmedia abuse" then they surely should be roasting this guy's balls instead of giving him such a sentence for destroying the lives of so many Nigerians. I feel cheated.

aren't politicians the best! I think there are only a handful of politicians that actually give a damn about their constituents. There's a pretty hearthwarming story about Jose Mujica of Uruguay that many articles have been written about

What a guy! If I had read this article from any other source, I would have scoffed at it. My faith in humanity just got restored. Thanks for this
