HI GUYS

The past few weeks had been an emotional one for me. My country Nigeria has been going through a whole lot. The youth were fed up with how things were running, so we took to the street to protest.

The protest started peacefully until hoodlums took over and caused mayhem, looting, and destruction of properties of both government and private businesses which has to lead to several killings and chaos in the land.

The primary objective behind the protest was because of police brutality. The Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS) for years has been a nightmare to Nigerians especially youths. Petitions have been raised against them several times. But at each of those times, we've been told they've been dissolved, but before we realize, they start operating again. So, this time we said enough is enough.

These people target young people, especially if you're driving a good car, look good, or used a high-range mobile phone like "iPhone". They will suddenly assume you're doing fraud and makes it look like it's a crime for a young person to be rich.

This art explains how I felt, and how my thought resonates with this. Here, we are not talking about white police killing a black guy. But black police killing his fellow brothers. To me, it means I'm a target (the eye on the forehead), that's why I'm screaming "I JUST WANT TO LIVE".
