Nextcolony: Suggestion and observation.

Today I decided to write my observation about one of my favorite game in steem blockchain i.e nextcolony.
Nextcolony is a space exploration game in which you explore the space by creating explorers,attack others and defend your planet by making combat ships and most importantly , you are constantly researching and increasing production of the resources that are required for the progression of your game.



Game developer and player also communicate with each other in game discord and exchange the ideas and question the developer about their future plan. Currently the game rewards season is going on and you can read more about this exciting season in this post.

Players also get rewarded for playing the game in form of StarDust the ingame currency. This stardust can be used to purchase the items from other in game items from other players.

But I observe that game theoretically have all element of success but still it is not very popular. (It's popular 10 million transaction proves it. So I am putting my observation and suggestion for it.

I think game is not attracting new player base as such. I think game developers have to think about this. They can use the existing gaming tribes to start some sort of new promotion to attract the new player base. I also see that there no affiliate bonus in the game. In this digital world neglecting affiliate marketing is a big no.

I also observed that for a new player , game is very slow and there is constant danger that new player is attaced by the existing player. Currently game give the new player the option of respawn to get out of the hostile environment but I think buff can be given to new player to speed up the things for them. A "Construction buff" can be created that can speed up the construction upto 4x for 30 days so that new player will be able to construct building rapidly. A "Research buff" that can speed up research upto 4x for 30 days so that new player can do research at fast pace.A "Resource buff" can be created that can cause resource generation at 4x speed for 30 days. A "Ship building" buff can be created that can help the players to create the ship for their planet at 4x speed. Most importantly , player need some sort of protection when players are developing their base. I think a "Immunity buff" can be created in which player cannot be attacked when in immunity but if player uses immunity buff then player will not be able to do any kind of space mission including combat, exploration, transportation and deployment. I feel all these kind of buff should be available to "Alpha" planets only so that these cannot be exploited on beta planets. Since all of these are very powerful buffs so I expect them not to be cheap but they serve a option for someone who wants to climb the ladder fast.

Currently game offer resource chest that can be purchased for you additional resource requirement. resource chest contain the mix of all the resources. I think player should get the option to purchase the specific resource in which they are low instead of buying the all resources.

Players like to play with their friends and it will be good if game can formally provide some kind of the alliance concept in the game.

One of the biggest complain of current player base is absence of any market in which they can sell their stardust. Developers are currently hesitant to put the Stardust in outside interface as they are not sure whether they will do phase2/3 sale of the stardust or not. I guess they should decide on it and they can put Stardust in market with their expected Stardust as a sell order. This will make clear to the player that how much stardust supply is created by developer and give them also opportunity to sell their startdust on open market.

Game is currently hosting its reward module/competition for upgrading "Yamoto". It is great that "Yamoto" module provide opportunity to the owner of the legendary planet to sell yamoto blueprints/yamoto but very few player participated in due to very competive/cost asscoiated to take part in this module. I guess a some new competition can be set up apart from "Yamoto" module like finding planet nearest to your "alpha" by using explorer II or farthest from your alpha in which a new player can take part also.
