New Year is here!

First of all, wishing everyone on Steem a very happy and prosperous New Year! May this year bring you and your family lots of smiles and happiness. I hope you all had a great new year party, lots of good food and drinks; dancing and singing; laughter’s and forgiveness.

Resolutions 2020.

With the new year, lot of us take resolutions. So what was your resolution this year? But wait a second. Before we go to yours, let’s step back and think about our 2019 and 2018 resolutions. Do you remember what was it and did you fulfill your them? At least I didn’t. That’s sad but true.

So all of are really excited and cheered up when new years here and we all make up our mind to have some goals and resolutions for the coming year. But friend, why do we have to wait until new year for a resolution? If you have some goals in mind and want to fulfill them, why not start today itself?

I have around 500 people in my office and I managed to survey about 200 of them (whom I know properly). I asked all of them if them remembered their last year’s resolution and if they truly stood up to their expectations. The reply came as below:

Looking at the above stats, I realized that new years resolution is just a thing. We all get so excited and cheered up and start taking resolutions for ourselves. But the true resolution is when it gets fulfilled as per our expectations. Resolution is not about new year and new year is not about resolutions. Both stand independently. So why wait for new year to fulfill our goals.

So this time around, no new year resolutions. Just set your goals as and when you want and get started because True Spirit and Dedication is what is required for fulfillment of goals, not a date!
