Happy New Year Steem! Happy 2020!

While half of the world has already welcomed the New Year of 2020, we at the pacific northwest still waiting for it. Taking this opportunity I would like to express my best wishes to the beautiful people of Steem. We have had an interesting and exciting year in 2019, although not without disappointments, obstacles, and downward pressure on Steem price. However, if we remove the Steem prices from the equation, overall I think we had an amazing year. Yes, participation numbers dropped down but didn't go away completely. There are still many who are building communities, developing apps, collaborating on future projects. Of course, better Steem prices would make things easier in our endeavors. But we are not here for easy. In fact, price pressure may just prove the resilience of the Steem community. Not everything is about money. There are more important things in life and Steem we can celebrate and look forward to an awesome new year.

I would like to thank everybody for every interaction we had, the topics we discussed, collaborated on projects, played games together. Every moment, every experience counts. I would like to thank everybody in Curie for all the hard work you put in 2019 and continuing in the mission of serving Steem and discovering talented authors. Huge thanks to the Steemhunt team and community. We have had so much fun discovering and sharting the newest and coolest of innovations. Thank you Neoxian and people of Neoxian City. That has been a great year for the community and the tribe. Thank you Steem Poker Leauge, aka BrosinoPoker community. We have had so many amazing poker games and had a lot of fun. Sorry if I won your chips :), I will try to do less of that. Thank you Steemit Inc for the latest hard-fork, and most importantly finishing SMTs and Communities. Well done. I can't wait to see them live in actions. Thank you all Steem witnesses to keeping the chain safe and secure, responding to hectic hard-fork changes. Thank you Steem developers for continuing your hard work in bringing us innovative apps and tools. Special thanks to all Steem Torch experiment participants. Trust has not been broken yet. It has been awesome to see Streem Torch traveling around the globe. Thank you all Steemians for continuing participation in this great experiment of Steem, creating content, engaging, making contests, participating, simply making Steem work. Thank you Steem!

As we enter the new year, we are also entering the new decade. I think this decade will be interesting with a lot of focus on decentralization and blockchain technologies and their implementation. I expect to see a lot of innovation in this space and hope to see Steem play a role in these changes. Regardless of what the next decade brings, I hope it will be positive changes that benefit regular people. I hope will not have any major turbulences in the financial system. I hope to see more actions by leaders towards peace, cooperation, and prosperity of all.

I haven't set any goals or thought through any resolutions for 2020. My plan, however, is to keep it simple, enjoy each moment, every experience, and focus on things that matter most. When it comes to Steem, I plan to participate with bad content. I don't want to create good content, it is too much work, stressful and I am simply not good at good content. :) I think all content is good as long as it is honest and harmless. If you have me on an auto-vote and have specific content standards, please remove me :). I am excited about Communities and plan to participate in the ones I find interesting. It will also be interesting to see how different communities will utilize SMTs. I hope to see a lot of out of the box ideas. I do not plan to take any active roles that consume a lot of time. Sometimes I can't help myself though. If Steem moons that will just be a pleasant bonus. If not, still ok. We will still have good times.
