18,000.00 Steem Powered Up

While the price of Steem is this low it makes no sense to cash out anything, instead just power up everything. If the price goes lower power up more, with time every Steem you powered up today will be worth a lot more in the future.

Sure near future might be bad, we might go back to all time lows of 7 cents if Bitcoin drops to 6k, that scenario could easily happen soon. Just be prepared for the psychological effect of that event, it will sting, but it will also create new opportunities for people who are serious about this blockchain.

There are some awesome new features that were in development for more than 2 years that are coming out soon, yeah mythological SMTs and Communities.

SMT testnet is live, communities are coming soon. With these new features fully released Steem blockchain will be on another level, there will be so many new tokens you can't even imagine.

Where is the intrinsic value of any token you might wonder, if you analyze the tribe tokens from Steem Engine they all have value, anything that is used will have value, there will be buyers and sellers, you just need to make those tokens interesting to use, value comes automatically after that.

Next big step for Steem once those features are live should be onboarding of the masses and good marketing. In the meantime we should remove SBDs, reduce Steem inflation, maybe work on more solutions on how to burn Steem to reduce the supply. All these things are easily doable, next few years should be very interesting.

Until then new Steem introduced 50:50 curation rewards, you can easily accumulate decent amount of Steem while the price is this low and maybe start curating, it can be fun. For that reason I'm powering up everything and I hope to soon hit 20k Steem Power.
