WOW just brought my very first art-banner for STEEM! Amazing job @katharsisdrill

I am super thrilled for the first time having a personal art-banner made just for me. I always recognized @katharsisdrill as being a really good artist so I contacted him personally to hear him out if he felt like making it possible. It turned out he was all up for that with a small price fee of 300 steem. Which also, makes this my first ever paid service here on the steem blockchain! As a comparison, this task could easily cost me 5 times more if I were to hire someone random and probably then I wouldn't even get this great, personalized result.

About 2-3 years ago my first bike tour was Denmark to Greece, somewhere on that trip I started writing on Steemit. I guess I grew two major passions at the same time both trying my strength with blogging and long-distance cycling. Since then I have been blogging all of my tours here on Steemit witch soon stacks up to above 20.000km of cycling. This picture captures that experience perfectly I feel like, it has all the neat details that make it feel like it is mine. From the little part of the sign saying "Danmark" (mind you, written the danish way compared to "Denmark") or even the blue jacket I used to wear. (see below picture for reference! :D)

This is not an advertisement at all, just merely my eagerness to share an amazing drawing that hits EXACTLY the mark of how I imagined it. Actually, @katharsisdrill managed to make it better than my primitive mind would ever be able to imagine. All I did was sending a few pictures of myself, how a loaded bike might look like and that I would like it to be maybe something with me navigating the world. The rest was up to him and he managed to capture ALL of that in this image. I love the Tintin style he chose, it just screams "ADVENTURE".

I even have a suspicion that he might not even understand how well he hit the mark on this one. Worth every single steem-penny I spend on it! (and I usually don't let go easily of those).

He also made this cool "text splitter". (is that what I should call it?). I am not even sure how to use this one yet since I never really thought of this, but I guess I will find my uses for it! Before any of you are giving a cheeky comment like " I guess you use it for... splitting text", yes I get that, but how exactly I implement it I am not sure lol.

What's the other news @holm? where have you been?

I kind of just got myself a job that I spend most of my time on. Earning some money to fund my future travels. I managed to get work in an outdoor store so I get amazing discounts on all my favorite outdoor equipment! I am still super excited for all the news that keeps pumping out from Steemit inc. I have not really felt the need to be active but I have been at the backline reading some articles, doing some manual voting and just enjoy my time. I guess I feel more like an investor than a consumer at the moment. Although I love putting some posts out here and there I always want it to be authentic and right now there's not much inspiration for that in my current state of life, so I rather not write until the inspiration comes. That usually happens when I travel ;) But I do start to feel an itch once again for some more blogging.
