Surveillance in the Public Interest: Corruption Revealed in Brazil

I haven't heard about this from other sources, but not only does it provide useful context to evaluate the integrity of the current Brazilian government, it well confirms my expectations that as surveillance tech becomes more invasive and harmful to ordinary citizens, it is far more beneficial in revealing corrupt and nefarious government.

The Intercept has published a series of reports that show judicial malfeasance and corruption for political purposes that calls into question the conviction and sentence of the former head of State of Brazil, now serving time.

IME, this is really how courts work. Folks that think this is a problem limited to third world countries should have a look at these reports and consider similarities to how government is performing everywhere, including here in the US and across the pond.
