I had fairly good success on the European matches during the mid-week. I'm still taking a rather cautious approach overall when it comes down to big bets and mostly will stick to smaller positions also this week. As always, 1 match on Friday night to kick things off...
Kortrijk vs Antwerp
Kortrijk is currently in a bad streak in their home matches and only managed to win 1 from their last 9 losing 6 of those and being unable to score in 6 of them. The positive side is that their last match was that win breaking the bad streak scoring 3 goals. This was also because Moeskroen got a red card in minute 32 already. Kortrijk coach traditionally has played more forward at home and more defensive away. The Gap in results (ROI) vs the Asian total line is quite significant. (+22.7% vs -38.9% in 2018-2019 home-away on the over | +18.11% vs -26.29% in 2019-2020 | +36.67 vs -35.33% this year) so basically blindly betting Kortrijk Home Over & Away under has been a big moneymaker as the odds doesn't seem to be properly adjusted to the difference in play style. Kortrijk also tends to perform better when playing toward their own fans. Antwerp has been struggling so far this season not always finding their form even though on paper they have an excellent team. They took a 2-2 draw last week against Eupen coming back from 0-2 behind. Both teams combined home/away so far this season averaged 7 corners each match going 6-0 on Under 9.5. So where does all this lead me betting wise, pretty much nowhere. My main lean is on the Over also because the league itself has seen many more goals in the last couple of weeks (13-5 on 3 Goals or more). I will wait it out as I would not be surprised to see a more cautious start of the match with a study round from both teams. If over 2.25 becomes available early in the game I'll likely go for it.
