One thing that immediately came to my mind after reading your post, what I could say is that "being afraid to be unhappy will make you miss out on being happy". 🤔🧘‍♂️

Actually, I can say that what I'm afraid of is not being unhappy, but being happy. Because my happiness usually lasts for a short time and then meaningless things continue.

Meditation does help some people sometimes.

  • Mantras can help too 😊

Sometimes I try to meditate, but the surrounding noise prevents it. And mostly it makes no sense to me. I think it makes more sense to sit somewhere and talk to myself. 😅

Repeating a phrase that calms you down, over and over again, is also a type of meditation

  • Sort of . . and it's called a mantra

The most basic form of meditation though, is remaining aware of your breath, even if you are walking, etc. But it's hard but benefitial to do 😊

I think it is very nice to be aware of our breath while walking. I tried breathing exercises a lot before but unfortunately I was quitting after doing it for a while.

It is really good for me to walk in the forest when the weather gets warmer. 😊

Yeah, it is actually difficult to remain aware of one's breath! 😆

Let's just say... you are now in manual breathing mode!

Some people have benefited from allowing both happiness and unhappiness to come and go, naturally 😊

Maybe that's exactly what it is. So as you say. Just to allow...😴
