Double Posting on eSteem

avatar

Anyone has any idea with this double Posting issue that I am facing on eSteem?

This is happening for the second time with me. Take a look at my previous post - the one on the morning jog. It has been posted twice, see that?

I had used eSteem to post it but it got posted twice. It has happened once before. I had faced similar issue on Partiko, but Partiko would eventually merge the two posts. That did not happen here, though.

A bit of elaboration on the issue. I first posted then tried editing the post. After editing is where the post instead of updating the original became a new post altogether.

Anyone faced similar issue? If so, what did you do?

Would appreciate all help on the matter.

Thanks!

Only post via steemit or steempeak than you don’t have that problem

I get that @brittandjosie but some posts are easier to do from the mobile app. For an elaborate one I would still prefer SteemPeak like you said.

Thanks for the suggestion, though. I guess if there is no solution for this double posting issue then I might as well post through SteemPeak. 😊

You can also edit the double post to a new post with edit button great for your feed but a bit of work

That's what I am looking for. How do you edit two posts into one? Do you mean delete both and make them one? Or edit one of them and delete the other?

No sorry this is blockchain so delete is not possible but you can edit I The double one.
Go to edit below your blog it’s in green. And put in another written story or something.
That’s the only way

Okay tried @brittandjosie. It works much like you editing the whole post. There is one issue, though - the upvotes. Now, all of the upvotes on that post are for Sportstalk, so if I now change the nature of the post then it is similar to cheating people by taking their upvotes for something and then changing it, isn't it? Of course, the upvote values are not earth shaking, but still.

So, now I have reverted back to the original.

Anyway, like you mentioned, this being blockchain the original post and upvotes would be there on the chain, so changing it on SteemPeak would only add a new edit on an older post.

Phew! 😊 😊

Well trusts to explain in the Renewed post right? And don’t you have a sports thing to blog about?

This way it’s better than two identical blogs in your feed

Point taken. Also, nothing sporty to blog at the moment, but I get your point. If I am replacing a certain type of article might as well replace with the same kind. Right?

Well, thanks for your guidance. Very kind of you to take time to respond. 😊 😊

Did you manage to solve this problem @oivas?

If you did then perhaps you could share with me what was the solution? I've been thinking about trying out esteem and I can forsee similar issues.

Yours,
Piotr

Hello Piotr,

Honestly, no. Of course, I will try to post once and avoid editing directly soon after. Either edit the article on my mobile after an hour later or if it is urgent, log on from my laptop and do the editing.

That is the solution as of now. :)

Saw your post on Steem - Tron partnership. Have to give it a read now. :)
