Very interesting idea...

What I propose we do is every state has their residents vote on the same number of people as the number of the corresponding electoral votes of that state>

Then we would have the problem of deciding who to vote for, and instead of 2 opponents across 50 states, we would have 3 to 55 campaigns and controversies per state, some of the smaller weighted states this might work for but as California has 55 that would be a lot of chaos I can only imagine and over one-third of our country 11 or more per state.

I'm talking about that specific state's top engineer, doctor, lawyer, artist, musician, scientists, and so on. We would vote on the certain number of people that are top in their field >
Who would be considered for the top of their field... Proving this would cause way more controversy than its worth... too many things to factor in which vary greatly depending on the field, however, some examples would be: to judge them top because of net income, amount of people they have helped(this would be a good one), charities they have contributed, most movies or social media coverage, net worth, and the list goes on...

I am glad people are thinking of bettering our country because this year was a shit show, and made me realize that I have no voice... never cared that I did or didn't and had already seen how our land of the free costs to do anything, And no matter how I felt about each president I NEVER expected to see him silenced on national television, that made me want to hop on a one-way ticket out of the states... This was a great idea.

QuoteI don't know if it was just the weed or what but when I thought about this idea I thought it was completely genius and would offer a much easier count for the actual presidential candidate and this way people that have every reason to vote for the actual best candidate will be the only ones voting for who becomes president.> Quote

On a more candid note, pass that thing this way, must have been some good shit! It sounds like you been watching hunger games recently. LOL we could set up an arena for the ties to be broken...

For some reason this made me think of a song I had heard and made me giggle. I even went to find the song... hope you find this as funny as I did.

Nice one. They must have grown up in a very small family.

I agree at least in part as I am not sure what RCV means I can't say I agree or disagree. I do feel our nation is divided and not just in 2 but in many factions.

In 14 minutes and 39 seconds,

CHICKEN DILEMMA SOLUTION - - Can't you just use a Ranked Choice Ballot and require that everyone Rank ALL Candidates, and then count them with the Approval tally system (and simply remove the bottom half of each ballot)? In other words, all candidates must be ranked one every single ballot, otherwise the individual ballot is thrown out. And then whoever gets ranked in last place simply doesn't get counted (or if there are a large number of candidates, perhaps only the top 3 or top 4 candidates are counted according to the Approval Method).

Ah, Thank you, I knew of this process but didn't realize it was called RCV, I am super sleepy though, I will play catch up in time. In the meantime, my mind will drift happily to another dimension whilst my body lays in slumber. Thank you for the chat and all the upvotes <3 I enjoyed our chat.
