Snail Payout Promise-2.jpg

About a week ago I made a post about my recipe for preparing Snail Sauce which I ate with some Stew and Yam. I have made the promise in the quote below:

”For inspiring me to do this post, I'll be giving @mariannewest half of what I receive as authors reward in Steem when this post pays out.”

And you can also see the post in the link below:

I am happy to say I have fulfilled the promise I made by sending 5,410 Steem to her account after receiving 10.814 Steem as Authors reward. I’ll like to thank every member that upvoted the post and made comments.

It is good to inspire others, to help them get ahead because it also motivates that person to do the same for others. I have received a lot of encouragement on this platform and I think the best way to show my appreciation is also to spread the love. So don’t relent on doing good because it does come back to you one way or the other. I believe that is what we like to call good Karma. Lol.

Thanks for reading. Keep your comments coming and follow me if you have not already done that. Again, thanks a lot for your support to me always.

Regards esteemed friend @ketcom.

First of all I must congratulate you for this noble action that you have had with @mariannewest. Applause!

In another order of ideas, I just wanted to ask you (if I don't cause problems) where are you from?

My question originates from the fact that you have included Yam ("Ñame" in Venezuela) in your recipe.

This tuber is my favorite. Here it is cultivated a lot. I know two types of yam (I don't know if there will be more). There is one that is used to plant near dry trunks or fallen trees, that is my favorite. It has better taste and texture.

There is also another tuber that I love but currently farmers are not growing it, here we call it "Mapuey". Do you know it?

I hope to know more about you, your crops and your tasty recipes.

Your friend, Juan

No worries.
I am from Nigeria.
We loads and loads of varieties of yam depending on the region of the country it is cultivated.
I checked , your "Mapuey" is called Cocoyam here and we eat that a lot too in the southern part of my country.
I post some different recipe sometimes so if you check my old blog, you'll see loads of them.
Cheers mate and nice knowing you.

Oh, how kind you are!
Cocoyam ... interesting.
The soil and weather conditions in Nigeria and Venezuela may be similar. Then we have these tubers.
We also eat the Ocumo in different variations.
