"The early bird catches the worm...and that's fine with me. 😝" Omra-Sky, circa Nineteen Dickety Eight.

Well, the earliest known recording of this famous saying dates back to the 1600's. Though it was surely uttered in one form or another before that. The quote came to my mind recently as I filmed an American Robin preparing a plump, juicy meal for it's nest.

I find it interesting how quotes change meaning in different situations or at different times in our lives. As a kid, "The early bird catches the worm" meant waking up early. Similar to the "Early to bed, early to rise..." thing.

To most, I assume, it means to seize opportunities early. Though, does being first or early always yield the best results? Sometimes it's better to learn from other people's mistakes.

And, of course, we can't forget about those Early Bird Specials! Where are you going to get a meal like that for under $10.00?

Wherever we are, we are surrounded by nature. It's always trying to communicate with us. Take time to notice it. #NoticeNature. Seize those worms!

I love you and how you think.
Early for me means no brain. I now need at least 3 hours to wake up LOLL

Today I went out and got my smoke stuff and a screen protector.....what a pain it is now to go shopping.

I know this has nothing to do with what you wrote but I realized having someone to do the bulk of the shopping is wonderful.

Yes, nature brings back my center. after shopping, I sat in the back yard to relax. Nature always helps

Have to say I'm not a fan of worms so I'll just sleep in, thank you! Love how the robin's head kept popping up to look around. Maybe it had the sensation of being filmed and couldn't resist looking for the camera.

I notice birds doing that a lot when I film them. Maybe they know they're being watched.

They might. Some Bristol university students did a study where they set up experiments to see if starlings would keep away from their food dish if a human was watching them. They did. When the people were just as close but had their eyes turned away, the birds resumed eating.

Happy Blockchain bday Omra! πŸ€—πŸ·
