Black kites are a common site in farmland, villages and cities.
These two were enjoying the afternoon sun when I interrupted their privacy.
One got uncomfortable with my presence and took off...
The other one sat there, watching my every move as I repositioned myself to get a better shot...
Never mind the fact that I was more than 18 feet below, it was ready to take flight when I paid it too much attention.

In focus, but underexposed. Gone for sure.
They are also known to make daring attempts at nicking grub in parties and other large public gatherings where food is involved.
