You must go over the Ponquogue bridge to get to the beach. The name Quogue is an abbreviation of the native American word Quawquannantucke,or Quaquanantuck. What it means is lost in time and translation.

The bridge is almost 3.000 feet long (857 m) with a 55-foot (17 m) vertical clearance for boats to pass under.
No charge to use anytime of the year... 😎😎

It has a large parking lot for Southampton residents and a equally large new pavilion.

All new Trek like decking with a walkway over the dunes to the beach.

Had to walk over a pile of sand at the end of the walkway. Put there by the ocean's Winter high tides.
