Widespread Support For Planting More Trees

A recent survey of only 11k adults in the U.S. found that 90 percent of them supported the idea of getting more govenrment action involved on planting more trees. And it is something that not only those in the U.S. agree with, but millions of people around the world.

From apps that help plant trees whenever you make purchases, to companies that offer tree-planting favors as gifts etc to corporate clients and others, there are many ways today to go about planting more trees in the world. It's an idea that millions of people want to get behind, it's also an idea that is fairly easy in many circumstances to implement.

There are some individuals around the world who just by themselves have planted hundreds or thousands of trees. It is a move that doesn't need to be enforced with violence, it's an idea that seems good enough to many that it can be implemented easily, creatively, and peacefully.

There are a growing list of companies out there today that will promise to plant a tree for every purchase that you make. It's just one creative way that they can set themselves apart from their competition in the market.

One toilet paper company from Australia known as How We Roll is promising to plant trees in bushfire affected areas if you make a purchase from them. Every box that gets sold from them is going to turn into one tree that will get planted in the impacted bushfire area of Australia.

They have already planted hundreds of trees.

This is one idea that gets people to support it regardless of their age or political affiliation etc, it's a measure that doesn't need to be forced like some other ideas that have been proposed to try by those who are concerned with climate change. It has been frequently suggested that planting billions of trees might be the most effective solution to combat any potential climate issues.

There are some risks that come with a rush to plant too many trees though, if it isn't done in a mindful way.

If people rush to plant millions of trees without considering local ecosystems for example, then there could be some unexpected problems.

Studies have shown that planting those trees in a poorly designed manner could do more harm than good to the environment in general, such as fueling the reduction of biodiversity in those regions. That isn't to say that it doesn't do any good to plant them, but you certainly don't want to plant them if that action is going to contradict the motivation for planting in the first place, if they are going to fuel more of the problem your're looking to address by planting it. In that case you would just end up wasting your money and time.

I totally agree with this. Get everyone on earth to plant a couple of trees and we would be in much better shape.
