Fall Trees Collection 3: The Trees of Gold and Splendor [Photography]

At the bus station, these towering trees strike a different chord from every angle depending. From the back they are dark and scheming.

Behind a fence, their faces are rich and lavish.

From the side, I see shades of the dark mixed with the ornate golds.

Recently Netflix released a new version of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I feel hints of the Skeksis and the Urskeks within the presence of tall and ominous trees like these. They stand by watching the landscape as rulers who own the land in lavish costumes, and yet do nothing.

Not far away over the fence the Gelfling tree is painting songs with the soft colors dancing in the wind.

Rustic leaves fringed with age. Much like the Mystics who record the passing of trine using the rare colored sands collected from distant regions they once travelled long ago.

Though the leaves lack luster and translucence, the still gather the light around them.

In the wind, with their song and slow movements, the many-armed trees somehow carry the light farther than their aloof cousins. They weave ancient druid spells made from white magic. Such magic is drawn out from the old dusky rocks of the earth, such as in the absolute darkness of space, in the rocks of distant stars, there is also light.

The world is illuminated once again.

Change is always on the horizon. Ages continue to pass.
