Red Pollen!

Hey everyone I have literally been in bee-keeping for a year now, how exciting. How do I know this, well other than the obvious, red pollen happens once a year and only from my experience with Aloes and they start to bloom mid to end of winter.

I head off into the field today to get some more nice bee pics and was so delighted to see the red pollen on their hind legs not too much but the season has just started so I would imagine this will increase as the season matures!

Aloe honey really is tasty only happens once a year but we certainly do take full advantage of this. We plan to harvest in the next three weeks, we have 40 odd hives now so am expecting at least a half ton harvest from all the hives, holding thumbs!

Goal for this year? Get myself a super cool professional camera and take some professional macro shots. Now if steem price will just hit the roof?

Red pollen means red honey, right?

I think much darker will have a look don't remember it been red last year will take pics when we harvest, Cheer$;) Bruvvie ;)

Bees have been celebrating the winter flowers this year, flowers appear more plentiful with good rains at the end of Autumn. That honey sure sounds delicious, great photo's of your little helpers @craigcryptoking
