The Best of Natural Health on Steem

Welcome to the first post in the second month of 2020, where we collate the best natural health content on the Steem blockchain.

This year's curation posts are going to start by sharing ABUNDANCE, offering one of the featured writers here a part beneficiary of the earnings of this post. It's our way of saying thankyou for writing good content.

I can never go past @plantstoplank's posts. Never was there a woman more excited about vegetables. I have to say these lentil patties look great - I'm not sure they'd beat my Mum's, but I can't get my Mum to join Steem. Read her recipe here

@Alchemage wrote this post on ending the war on psychedelic medicines. He writes:

Mental illnesses can be extremely devastating to one’s wellbeing, leaving one with a feeling of persistent perilousness. Mental illness dominates a large portion of the US adult population, with even more going unaccounted because of the nature of mental illness and social stigmas which further exacerbate the issue of discussion. Mental health care and adults receiving assistance has been on the rise with 15% of American adults receiving care in 2018 (SAMHSA 4). However, current treatments present significant limitations which need to be addressed. Typical pharmaceuticals for mental health take extended periods before their effects begin to be seen as clinically significant. There exists a large body of individuals who are resistant to treatment with pharmaceutical medications and other modern interventions. Psychedelic medicines are immediate in their actions for clinical significance, and have been used to treat illness and disease in unconventional ways which show great potential for treating mental illness. The reevaluation of the legalization of medicinal use of psychedelic therapies is absolutely imperative at this conjuncture in our society.

@mamrita wrote about digestive issues and golden milk being a bit of a saviour. In this post she writes:

Over the years I have learned what I can do to support myself. For me, it's crucial to take time to do yoga. I always feel better after a yoga practice. When I really struggle I have a very slow and supportive yoga session. Food, of course, also plays an essential role here. By now I have tried so many diets and food regimes (always vegetarian or vegan) but I still don't know if food alone could fix my issues. It seems to be an intricate combination of stress, food, lack of sleep and my mental state. But what do I know? The human body sure is fascinating and not so easy to understand.I have also done fasting and colonics. Even though that has felt good my symptoms always return at some point. Lately, I have also started to squat for 30 minutes a day. I started with it mainly to support my pelvic floor but it's also really good for my digestion. Today I finally feel better. I'm trying the best I can to listen to my body's wisdom and last night I felt some golden milk would offer some soothing to my poor stomach. And it sure did! Today I have had two more and I'll continue to drink this now for some days. @yangyanje has been very kind and made me this golden milk drink. It turns out great with Oatly's barista oat milk, which makes the drink so mild and creamy. I'm a big fan of Oatley's barista oat milk in general, I use it for so many things. I'm so happy you an also get it here in Germany (it's a Swedish company). I'll simply share how we have been making them.

I love how another Steemian - @yanyanje, who you should follow for yummy vegan recipes - offered help to @mamrita by suggesting oatmilk. I love how we all help each other on our natural medicine journeys.

It was a GOOD week of posting!! Sharing some of that wisdom around other social media later today.

The BEST way we can ensure the future integrity & value of steem is to use all of our witness votes wisely, to stay aligned with our core values - and to post. While we're being model curators. :) I signed up for that - ready for more.
