Duck wintering

It is interesting if there were no dam on the river where our wild ducks would winter. Would they really leave us, fly away to the warm lands. I name ours, because these ducks live year-round with us. They do not want to be considered wild either. Always near at all times at home. I’m so used to it (I live nearby) that I can’t imagine a river without ducks.

From spring to autumn, when the water did not freeze, ducks have a wide expanse. Two rivers nearby, swim wherever you want. But they often gather at this dam. And in cold weather this is their refuge.

The rivers have not yet completely frozen, so for now there are places where to take a walk. In fact, we have much more ducks living, this is just a part of them.

Ducks still love to walk and sit on ice. Especially on the first ice they go so happy!

They tend to get closer to the shore. After all, people walk along the promenade every day, feed the ducks, and they guard them.
