NaNoWriMo 14 - Dreaming about

(Edited)

Yes, I wrote today,

even started early, at least I think I did. Next, I went back to sleep some more. I did not feel great, the rash started yesterday and was not over as I woke up.
My head banged (cold), antihistamine, prednisone, painkillers, beanie on and I wrote more. I decided to write slowly. The finger needed some rest too.
If you wonder... The meds we're fighting my autoimmune system which means cold shivers.
I worked on my story. Figured out I needed to write 24 parts of about 20 lines in my notes to get those 2000+ words. I did not come that far but am close.
In between I read a bit in the book of our freewriter and writer @deeanndmathews it was nice to read again. I don't know if I am the only one but there is something wrong with the page numbers. The book is not really over 3,100 pages so you can read it too. I read it on my phone and excepted for my Kampf this is the first kindle I bought. Reading on my phone is not great I prefer a real book. Paper, holding something, see it. It is proved everything you read from paper the mind remembers better. Not that there is a hole in my memory. I remember too much that can be a pain too plus your brain hardly gets any rest but if... In case I forget because I read on my phone (I needed an app for it) I can read this book over and over again and it will never be boring. Bring it is not I can assure you so buy it with the holidays coming up. Title: Black, White, and RED All Over A Lofton County Mystery Deeann D. Mathews. Just search it on its title via Amazon that works the best. Amazon makes it hard for Dutch people to lay hands on it, they send you from one Amazon site to the next... Kind of feels like our tax authorities. You are a number, have a number, they have all your info and after you ordered and filled out everything they tell you you are at the wrong department... at the right department same story and next you see that that department is exactly the same as the one you were before just translated a bit. A lot of work if you want someone to pay a bill. The Dutch tax agency its slogan is "we can not make it easier for you" I believe that says enough. Our government, taxes included, is also the one working with the oldest computers and software. They are easy to have. I think they do this on purpose. There is plenty of money, it is wasted on everything plus the mountain of money is only getting higher and higher but the only thing the people hear is there is debt and old people cost too much. They don't, they have or had money and pay sky-high bills. At the time they all died we will be in trouble. The youngest generation does not belong to the biggest group of hard workers. They are the ones suffering from stress, already freak out if they hear they need to find a job, get at work and will not receive a monthly income for doing anything and demonstrating.

Like I wrote earlier I worked on my story and that somehow increased. I never make a plan of how or what just write. I came at the point the characters in my story get in touch with the ones out of my first story (#marchmadness). It is just in their mind, a dream, but a good way to make different worlds meet each other it not. At the nanowrimo site I read at this point you might know how the story ends. Not me, I have no idea where it will end. At a certain point, it will end because I wrote those 50k words or more. After that, I will delete or add and in the end, it's less as 50k which is no problem at all. A book is a book and not better if it has 600 pages. The story is what counts not the extra words you don't need and probably will skip while you read. It is what I frequently do. I did it with J.K Rowling too. Too many pages describing the ball game. I have a book about her that is so bad I could not even finish it. At times you have that with books.

After I read and wrote a bit I went back to sleep. I spoke to my daughter by WhatsApp about my health issues and the kids hung the laundry outside. The sun shone but it still smells terrible after shit. No need to describe what our fresh laundry smells like too. Inside was not really an option it stinks inside too. We burned incense but the sheepshit is so strong it is a waste of good incense. It stresses me. Two washing machines with laundry so smelly that you are hardly dear to wear it. One minute outside and your hair stink too. It freaks out the youngest. Of course, the shit farmer does not live here. I guess for this week there is no option for doing the laundry again and we have to wear it.

The prompt for today's freewrite is a trip.

The only trip I will make in a few hours is to the bus stop, picking up the youngest out of school at 12:30, drive to the city, puck up the bus-kid and next find the first school my youngest might visit next year. Somehow we have to leave there earlier to find the second one.
Number one is a school about tourism and this means it will leave after 6 years and have diplomas and can find a job. The second one takes 5 years, mainly languages, has some creative writing course but after that, there is more studying (University) and still no profession. To some, it might sound great to study forever to us it does not. You need money to live and to study and we have a lack of it. At least the kid is enthusiastic about the tourism part so who knows in the nearest future there are cheap trips for us.

You can be a freewriter too. See @mariannewest for the daily prompt.

A part of what I wrote.

The inventor woke up.

Parts of his dream he remembered. He felt shocked and worried but too tired to figure out who Alain was, why his life tale was told by a book. Straight up he sat in bed and waited, hoped a thought or the voice brought him clarity instead of confusion. His request was not answered.
It was silent. All giants rested and he not heared one of them breathe. There was no snoring, yawning or sign life next door. He loved it this way. Gently he stood up and went over to their place. This part of the cave was filled with a soft greenish light.

"They glow, they glow in the dark."

He stared at his hands but except for they were green and he felt the power nothing changed. Glowing was not a gift given to him. After he convinced himself they did fine he went back to bed. Alain, whoever he was could wait and Raven too. Both not needed him they belonged to another life. "Another life or world?" he mumbled as he turned to his left, "timeless... timeless is a good reason. We live at the same time because we are timeless or the world is. This explanation was good enough.. sleep... let's catch some sleep first."

Who was there?
He felt there was someone near, observing him. How come he could not turn his head to have a better look? The beads, the beads told him only to have eye for them. Who watched him and where was his father?

.....

"Are you ill. Who did this to you?" She stared at him, waited and finally dared to take more steps forward. Before she knew she stood next to his head and stroked his cheek with her small hand.
.....

The touch... it felt similar to his father's gentle caressing. He felt she cared just like he did. How he missed him. He tried to remember his father's words but his mind stayed empty.

.....

She had no choice, laid her head down on his hand and held one of his short fingers in her hand. "I wish you sweet dreams or perhaps I can give you one of mine," she said and fell asleep.

.....

The thoughts were only in his mind for a short moment. It was too short for the father to notice. It was at the same time he woke up and sat sleepily straight up in bed. His head became empty again and drowsed away. There was no need to think or search for a reason. What counted was he felt good and save.

It feels good to know you have someone watching over you and who cares for you.
It was the first time in his life he became a father. No one adviced him. Raising over 10 sons at the same moment is not easy. They were identical, were teached altogether but he invested time in each of them alone no matter how much time it took.
As he woke up he felt refreshed and went to his lab. The little creatures needed his attention and they were his first priority at this moment. No matter what happened his hart always sang as he entered his laboratory. This was his kingdom and the best things always happened here. The grew faster as expected and looked satisfied. After he took care of each of them he collected the items from his lab he no longer needed. Carefully he selected what became so dear to him. It survived the ages and give him hope, company and eternity. The firstborns and newborns were the only children he decided to create.

"You and your brothers are enough for this world. I teach you to take care of it. If there is more world left we find it, can travel over there. I have something special. You might need it in the other world. Here nothing grows. This is the world of the first living and where you are born and your home. You all can use it, take care of it. If the eldest not need you a task waits for you. You are here for a reason and will be the guardians of life."

His little creatures heard him and he filled their mind with snapshots of what he had seen in his life. A world completely different from where he lived now.
He hesitated, wasn't sure if it was safe enough but showed him a snapshot of the place he was born.

"It was here, in this small house I was born. She was old, I was her wish and she gave me everything I needed..." his faltering voice was overheared by his babies, "I came here. I love it here but need to know if there is more world around us."

Look at you go woman!!!! I have to go back a few to catch up with your tale, but I love this one. I'm not sure what kind of creatures his babies are, or even what he is although he seems human in this episode. Soem sort of time travel? Carry on!!! NaNoWriMo!

@owasco He, the inventor, is human and survived a Big Bang somehow and became timeless. His babies we're meant for the first living, they are giants. By now greenish giants. I am not sure about the time travel... Perhaps the worlds live next to each other like fairy tales do?
Thank you for stopping by. ❤️
