Music Monday (feel free to add your own tracks)

The aim is simple, to banish those Monday blues with an eclectic range of music chosen by Steemit friends both old and new.

Music Monday.jpg

Every Monday I intend to post a music video (and a few words explaining my choice) I invite you to join me by doing same in the comments section below. As the forum (hopefully) grows my aim is that we begin to inspire our fellow Steemians to broaden their musical horizons by listening to the music that inspires us. The only thing I ask is that (where possible) every song we listen to is played nice and loudly on headphones or speakers in order that we capture its true essence.

As more Steemians join this venture there is also going to be the possibility of being rewarded for our musical tastes via the amount of upvotes each song receives. That said please never feel awkward about posting a track, a guilty pleasure or even your own musical ventures. I have an extremely wide range of musical interests but also understand that music like beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. As such I may play my chosen song, but who am I to define what constitutes good music.

Hope everyone is well and has enjoyed a really good week? We're back in mushroom season, so when in Rome and all that jazz. Definitely a video that's worth viewing on full screen, as someone once said .. turn on, tune in and chill out . or was it drop out? ;) On that note, a bit of shameless self-promotion for my mycelium and mushroom post from last year, if you feel so inclined then feel free to check it out Here. Anyway, As always .. I hope you enjoy!

Hey my friend, nice choice , I love mushrooms and mycelium running is one of my favourite books, the sheer amount of healing and wisdom within that book is mind blowing . I didn't know this track, so thanks for that and the link to your post I have bookmarked it so that I can read it when I have more time.
I am in Ireland at the moment with family but return to Spain tomorrow.
Here's my offering for today, the new track from Missy Elliot

I hope you are well xxx

Hello my friend, I hope you've been well .. Ireland is beautiful at this time of year! Mind you, it is beautiful at all time of year. That said, the warmth of Spain will greet you upon your return, and there is a lot to be said for that :) I'm also a big fan of Mycelium/mushrooms so will look into your recommendation .. plus I would like to write a sequel to the post I attached. Thank you for your choice of music this week! Haven't heard a Missy song in years .. and this is a welcome return .. plus she ever seems to age!! :) Thank you for the music my friend .. enjoyed this one! X

I only once indulged in the magic mushies and had a bad time of it. So much so that the following week when a gang of us were heading up north to see The Stone Roses, they all did acid but wouldn't give me any! Give a dog a bad name and all that.
Here's my choice for this week:

Hey my friend .. good to see you! Yes, as I wrote in my post .. mushies aren't for everyone, and equally the setting where you take them is very important. I haven't partaken in many years, but feel that if you're in the right mindset, surroundings .. they can offer valuable insights. That said, I'm also not a fan of the air of psychedelic naivety that blows upon us, because there certainly is (for some people) a dark side. Ah Stone Roses back in the day .. that must have been some gig!! I loosely remember Beatnigs .. and they definitely have the right ethos! Unfortunately, television has only got worse! So never a truer word spoken! :) Thank you for the music my friend!

Glad that got there just in the nick of time..lol. Already got next Mondays figured out. Just seen a listing for the top ten all time one hit wonders in a Fox News release. That ought to bring back some memories, maybe a few giggles to some. Hopefully I'll get on here in time. I also put paper in my car so I can keep track of all the songs I've never heard before on the radio and write them down...I always forget them by the time Monday rolls around.
