Music Monday (feel free to add your own music)

The aim is simple, to banish those Monday blues with an eclectic range of music chosen by Steemit friends both old and new.

Music Monday.jpg

Every Monday I intend to post a music video (and a few words explaining my choice) I invite you to join me by doing same in the comments section below. As the forum (hopefully) grows my aim is that we begin to inspire our fellow Steemians to broaden their musical horizons by listening to the music that inspires us. The only thing I ask is that (where possible) every song we listen to is played nice and loudly on headphones or speakers in order that we capture its true essence.

As more Steemians join this venture there is also going to be the possibility of being rewarded for our musical tastes via the amount of upvotes each song receives. That said please never feel awkward about posting a track, a guilty pleasure or even your own musical ventures. I have an extremely wide range of musical interests but also understand that music like beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. As such I may play my chosen song, but who am I to define what constitutes good music.

Hope everyone is well and has enjoyed a really good week? Been away helping at a music event so only just got home. I've gone for something a bit chilled out tonight, something to ease myself back into the working week. This band have done some great tracks, hazy psychedelic melodies and a sprinkling of melancholy .. and this one is no different. I hope you enjoy!

Hey @amigareaction .. thanks for stopping by, back in the day I used to DJ a bit of acid techno .. so this is a very welcome blast from the past, although it's also new ..it holds that authentic old school sound. Tell your mate to keep it up, he's onto something! :) Thank you for the music my friend, enjoyed listening to this one!

Ah hell yah! The summer has been playing fun havoc with my schedule and I have missed a couple music mondays but I still love em.

I have had this song running through my head a couple hours. Cool keyboards, time changes, and awesome old man harmonies bring me back.

Hope you are doing great man!

Hey my friend, sorry this one must have come in after my much needed bedtime! :) What a brilliant choice though, love the band .. such great musicians, and I was only listening to Cripple Creek a few days back and The last Waltz is a great gig video/documentary. I can relate on the schedule front .. I often help out with festivals and events at this time of year, so I'm normally rushing back to get #musicmonday listed! lol Thanks again for the music my friend .. a musical masterclass and a pleasure to listen to. :)

Greetings dear friend @perceptualflaws.

Although I do not usually comment on music publications, I found your proposal great and would like to participate.

I am fascinated by the eccentricity of this video and the fusion of its raw and techno sounds.

ps.
Since you seem to have some decent knowledge and experience, would you mind if I ask you to share your own opinion on my latest publication:
"DID OUR "WORLD LEADERS" JUST PUSH GLOBAL RECESSION AWAY from our doorsteps?"
https://www.steemleo.com/economy/@crypto.piotr/did-our-world-leaders-just-push-global-recession-away-from-our-doorsteps

I would appreciate it greately.

Yours
Piotr

Thank you @crypto.piotr Hope you've been well my friend? yeah, it's a really interesting track .. a fusion of raw and techno sounds, but equally a fusion of the similarities between our transient cycles of time and indeed the cyclical nature of fascism. Very interesting, thank you for sharing. I will be sure to take a look at your article, it's certainly an interesting subject matter .. and one way or the other we're going to find out! Again thanks for the music, I enjoyed this one!

July proved to be a challenging month so I thought I'd enter into Aug with a few of those songs that get out feet tapping and put a smooth swivel on the hips.

Earth, Wind and Fire: That's The Way Of The World

Eric Claptop: Lay Down Sally

Prince: Kiss

Elton John: Honky Cat

Stevie Wonder: Superstition

Billy Ocean: Caribbean Queen

Otis Redding: Sittin On The Dock Of The Bay

Thank you @sunlit .. A great selection of music here .. and finishing it off with a bit of Ottis Reading .. heaven! One of those tracks that can take you away, to be at one with the moment and the image that he creates. Lucky enough to catch Stevie Wonder live a few years back .. and this track always brings back the feeling and energy of the moment .. classic! Hope the challenges of July reveal the triumphs of August and that you have a great month coming up. Thank you for the music @sunlit .. these were a listening pleasure! :)

Man that was awesome .. how do I give an explanation of that! lol It simply is, difficult to categorise and define and all the better for it! That guy has some serious equipment .. it's like being in Doc Brown's living room! lol Certainly wasn't expecting the lyrics either .. you never know where it's going to go next and I love that! At first I thought it might be the same guy as in the video above .. but don't think it is. Thank you for the music .. loved this one, def going in for a second listen! lol

Sorry I couldn't resist this one, once I thought of it. Flaws, your guy in the video looks anything BUT chilled, though music surely is. Feeling to me as if everything is speeding up faster and faster now - you get that too?
A little Love and Affection is needed everywhere right now

Hey @ricia .. hope you've been well my friend? Sorry for the late ears on this but I haven't been around v much this weekend. What a couple of great tracks though! The Joker has to be one of my all time favourites and the Joan Armatrading track is simply beautiful ..music from an era that seems both close and equally a million miles away. I'm certainly with you on the speeding up front .. and I have a few of my own theories on that. ;) Really nice to hear from you .. should have a post out this week! Thank you for the music .. these were a listening pleasure! :)
