Staircase (original song and video)

I am having a surreal moment.. .got a notification of something on youtube and then found myself reading some really sweet comments on this old video. I made it such a long time ago and it took me weeks to get it all put together, and, in the end, it is mediocre, at best. But it's mine. There are parts with which I am very happy, like the birds flying. And the way the scene flashes to black in time with the music at 2:59.

Anyway , it was featured in a Pureflix movie in 2013, and so people wander in to my youtube and find me sometimes. It's always so interesting to me when that happens. There's a trailer for the movie, and seeing as how most movies have trailers, I guess that shouldn't surprise you. But the cool thing about this trailer is that I am in it.

You can hear me several times, if you are a good detective. I wish I could show you the scene with the song because it is pretty cool, an old car driving down a highway in the desert during a forthcoming storm, with David A.R. White driving and my song playing on the radio, with static in and out..

I guess that's why they could use my song in that movie because it was played just that way, on an old radio with ready bad quality. Ahh, well. I'll take it.

Well, (post edit) I looked and there is a copy of it on the Internet Archive. So, it is possible that you can just watch the beginning credits and hear my song that way, if you're interested. I'm actually quite proud of this, if the truth be told. So, if you watch it, I think that's pretty nice of you. I would love it if you'd let me know you watched it, if you watched it. I wish I could watch you watching it. That would be fun. Not the whole movie, of course. Just the highway part.

Anyway.. don't really have a point, other than I can't sleep and I just feel like sharing. If anyone catches what I share, well.. hey. I hope it didn't make you sick or something.

I guess the point I did intend to make was that kindness, in any form, is time well spent. Even something as simple as a nice comment on a YouTube video. Some creators read them many times, again and again, when they need a smile.
