Hello, imaginary audience of millions who read my blog. How are you all doing this morning? It's hazy here.. and hot. It was stormy last night and I thought that perhaps a tree might fall on my house and squish me to death.

I really did think that.

I have fears of being smothered in my sleep by random falling objects, mainly the ceiling. Thank God we don't have earthquakes here or I'd never get any sleep at all.

I've been posting my music on my instagram. I figured out how to download clips of my youtube videos to my phone, and then use an app to transfer them to my camera roll. It's pretty neat, I can explain to you how to do it if you want to know.

I've been trimming out the intros to my open mic videos and sharing them that way, because really I don't like sharing crypto stuff on my IG or other social media sites. I've said it often, this is my me space. We're all strangers here. And I say that with deep love, truly. You have no idea.

Anyway.. here's the one I shared this morning. It's called "Trouble"... I wrote it last year and recorded this right after I wrote it, and then kinda just never thought about it again until I found it this morning in my unlisted vids. And speaking of youtube, I finally got my custom url back after gathering enough subscribers on my new channel. You can now find me at http://youtube.com/serenamatthews. Yay!

Open mics have always been a way for me to just kind of encourage myself to keep sharing. I need to do a new one, I guess. Can't seem to get motivated.

Also, sidenote.. just was watching/listening to this heartfelt video by my dear buddy, @meno. I just love this. You should probably watch it because you trust my judgement and I'm saying that it's fabulous. I love to hear Meno share his
life stories. This one is about his grandfather.

And, lastly, I discovered a band called The Saxaphones this morning while I was searching YouTube for new bands, and I've fallen in love with this song. I need to lure this band to my house and trap them here somehow. This song is called "Mysteries Revealed"

And last thought... I am almost following 1000 people. How bout them apples? I'm being quite picky about who I follow now. In fact if I weren't quite so lazy I would go through and unfollow a bunch of people. Maybe later. For now I'm 2 away from the big K... if you want me to follow you and you're awesome, I might do it if you ask me to. Sending chocolate helps. I can't also be bribed with money. Just being honest.

That last part is actually not much true. I can't only be bribed if it's morally appropriate.
