Technoweekend!

Some weekends you have dreams about unlimited everything. Especially now when not everything is going as it used to be, sometimes the mind starts to drift off on whatever all is possible. This weekend my mind drifts off to palmtrees and boatparties for some reason. Maybe it is because we are binging the series 'below the deck' which is about a crew from a yacht taking guests around the Caribbean seas. This reminds me a crapload about my life back in the Caribbean because during the season we would always have these mega yachts hanging around the island.

Not me hanging around on a yacht, don't read this wrong hahaha. No I mean yachts hanging around with rude rich people hanging on them demanding to be treated like kings. Disgusting but extremely entertaining to watch.

My mind is on beaches on boats, just because of the fact that it isn't possible at the moment. Well, ofcourse the North sea was in handreach recently, and boats will be more like dinghies so we keep on dreaming!

Dreaming starts with techno! Nightshifts make the mind woozy and nothing better to be woozy on than with some sweet music on the background. Cercle is the perfect sets of music to let the mind drift off on.

The cool thing about what the Cercle group does is they take a techno artist, invite only a small group of audience and take the most coolest backgrounds for the shows. In this case the space museum in New York but I have also seen other shows on mysterious mountain tops and even on skyscraper roofs. Talk about a cool setting to dance away on! If I ever have the chance of going to a Cercle show, I surely will be there.

Look at Amelie Lens really rolling a punch here at the iconic Atomium in Brussels, a space which is normally heavily regulated even with taking photos about it. Also other initiatives were made during this lockdown for music with cool backgrounds. Joris Voorn and his Audio Obscura made a set at the iconic Kinderdijk windmills in Holland during sunset which is airing in Dutch cinemas at the moment, who are only allowed to have 30 visitors at a time.

A win win situation if you ask me. A DJ who has a gig, an audience who has a place to go to, and a cinema who has customers.

Music does make the world go round and let us all keep dreaming, even in this weird year
