On the Shores of Azmare // Official Music for Splinterlands

(Edited)

I don't usually like bells. I think it's becuase I used to play mallet percussion in school and I'm still emotionally traumatized from the time I had to march in a parade with a glockenspiel strapped to my body in 100 degree weather.

Anyhoo ... this here songy has bells. It's a somewhat soothing lullaby for unwinding on the shores of Azmare after a hard battle.

This one took me 2 weeks to finish and it's been an emotional rollercoaster.
I started off kinda liking it, then I hated it and wanted it to die in a fiery pit, and now I think it's ok again.

As always, I have included my artbreeder/photoshop digital art inspired by the piece.

Soothing or not the immediate feeling I get while listening is horror movie soundtrack. It reminds me of the scores by Italian progrock band Goblin for 1970s movies like 'Suspiria' by Dario Argento. One of my favorite music. At the same time, I'm reminded of the music from Sigur Ross and Iceland ( due to the imagery / blueishness and desolate but calming landscape depicted in your post ).

I think this piece is beautiful, I love the different layers/ the build up and emotional rollercoaster that it is. Your suffering / struggling was totally worth it.

A hug from Portugal,

Vincent

lol I'm so dark that even when I try to create something soothing it still sounds like a horror movie😂

I could have known that you had seen and loved that movie too.

Hahaha!

I wouldn't consider myself that dark ( not anymore ) but I've sure had my age of darkness and like to think that I'm slowly leaving it behind. Watching less horror movies and being more selective in my media intake is part of the remedy.

THis is awesome. I want to hear a rapper singing about how he loved mama, had a baby girl, and the struggles of life growing up to this.

The piece is sick, maybe a little running water sounds or ocean waves in production to push the aquatic theme a bit more.

😂 starts recording a gangsta rap
Thanks Aggy!!!
I actually have some lovely ocean wave sounds in here but they are way too low in the mix so I'll bring them up for sure.

I like the bells, but I found the second minute just slightly repetitive, then the next minute was like another song giving it a nice break

It's not a song, it's a soundscape for a video game, hence the repetitiveness.
