I decided to go for another

blazing fast 5 minute writing challenge, and this is the result. Not a lot of tracks/layers, as I spent a little too much time playing around with warping the clips in the intro. I subsequently abandoned that idea entirely, and just wrote something afterwards, so it's a bit of a random transition, but I kind of like it. The song is just a repeating 4 chord progression, though I decided to stray a bit from anything too diatonic, and kept it a little more interesting.

Listen to Wobble here.

The progression begins on an Aminor,

then moves to F#minor, Dmaj and finally Emaj before repeating. You could either think of this as being in Amaj/F#min and subbing in the Amin for the I chord, or think of it as being in Amin, borrowing the F# from its parallel key, and subbing in the Dmaj and Emaj for their respective minor mirrors. Either way works, though I initially was going to write in Amin, and wound up straying from that a bit. Track 5 is our drums, which sounded okay, though the kick needs to be tamed a bit.

Tracks 7 and 10 provide the bass,

with 7 adding a sparse, wobbly, super low bass synth, and Track 10 a weird little beepy, triplet rhythm. Tracks 8 and 9 provide the plucky melody, with 8 taking most of the melody, and Track 9 providing some little accents using a different tone.

Track 4, 4 Chord Progression.

Track 8, Plucky Melody.

Hope you like the results of this timed challenge! Thanks for listening!
