'Untitled' - Original Music - A Song I Wrote/Recorded in High School - Punk/Rock + Walkthrough

that really justifies a full post, so I'll play around with some of it tonight and have a more in depth new tune walkthrough tomorrow. So today, I'm going with this Untitled song, which was one of the first songs I wrote and recorded. I had been playing guitar for probably a little under two years at this point, but had NEVER recorded before, so, even though I probably could've played the parts a lot cleaner will just jamming on my own, I immediately felt the pressure of recording and wound up with a VERY rough version, haha. Fortunately, with practice, this becomes much less stressful, but I had no idea it even existed until I started trying to record myself.

a copy of Fruity Loops, probably on Kazaa or Morpheus, and was just beginning to get into using a DAW (all done on the 'family' computer, so I'm sure I got all kinds of viruses too and made their experience using it terrible, lol). Fruity Loops seemed SO intimidating and detailed, and of course, there was no YouTube, so I would try and find websites with walkthroughs, though mostly I was just learning by trying things out. The drums and electronic sounds used here were all from Fruity Loops, whatever default kits and plug-ins were included with the download. I actually do like the idea of the sub at the end of each Chorus line, which, if I had known anything about mixing, would've been louder and more obvious. The break is like, entirely electronic, and the weird, digital sounding instrument plays completely out of key, as the sample wasn't tuned to a C (which was my reference point), though I had no idea how to even access the sample, let alone tune it, lol. Anyway, all that to say that it's a pretty rough recording, but it holds a nostalgic place in my heart.
