Considering how long I've had

Track 2, Dyads
the ROLI Studio Player and the various library of sounds, I've still not used most of them in songs, and still when scrolling through hear things that I swear I've never heard before, haha. So I started doing that last night, looking for original sounds, but then I wound up on some that I've ussed a lot, but just like, and wound up with this little idea. I think there's potential here, though some stuff would need immediate tweaking. I started with Track 1 playing some arpeggios, but it sort of turned into a bass line, so I decided to have this be the bass track, though it needs some bass boost of some sort, if I keep playing around with this. Track 2 added some dyads to build out the chords outlined by the bass; I turned the Sample & Hold setting WAY up, which resulted in that crazy, glitchy sort of timbre, which I like, but every pink section here has an Ableton autofilter on it, which removes all the noisiness temporally, and I think I like that more, so I may just leave it on.

Track 1, Arpeggio Line, abandoned for a bass line instead

Track 3 adds a really spacey background sound, which

Track 5, Pianobook.co.uk 'Winter Voices
just drones on singles notes, swelling in and out. Track 4 was a piano part, which I wound up reversing, just to accent the Fmaj chord of every B part, though I think this is sort of a random addition and may remove it, or try and find some cool effects for it. Track 5 is one of the 'Winter Voices' instruments from Pianobook, played in Decent Sampler. It plays through the chord part to the left of this paragraph; I need to record this audio and warp it just a little, as the attack is a little too long on this instrument (and can't be turned down, it's at 0, so its the original sample they built it from), and I don't love how every single chord change is just a bit behind Track 2. Track 6 just plays a D and E together, then a C and D (two major 2nds) just to add another texture and sound. Track 7 sticks to root notes, and also just adds a further sound in the background a bit. Track 8 is our last instrument, which adds a distorted bass synth sound, which just plays constant 1/8th notes, outlining the same basic line as Track 1. Overall, I like this idea, but I think some stuff needs to go or be changed, so I'll play around with it and see where it goes.

Hope you enjoy!
